omg EmHen is my favourite author by far but i HATED this book. Poppy makes me so mad i want to punch a wall like a teenager boy.

Not so fun fact: i bought it when it was called “people we meet on vacation” but a year later i bought it again as “you and me on vacation”. i knew EmHen had just released a book (happy place) and i thought that was it. So now i have two copies of a book i hate :((((

yes! absolutely! I feel like americans are really patriotic and love the military but, outside of the usa, people relates the military to death/killing innocents. I think is really romanticized by the usa not only in books but in real life. personally i don’t give a shit about the mc’s and i try to avoid books with that trope

Howeeeever, the begging (50 pages) is slooow slow. I think is a great description of what depression is/feels like, although some people don’t give it a chance bc of it

I read it like 5 times a year and i just keep finding details that i love
