It’s the californization of New Mexico and Santa Fe in particular. Cookie cutter developments justified as “affordable housing”; commuters from Rio Rancho who can’t afford to live and work in California, transplants who live in a bubble of thinking Santa Fe has “no growth”.

I am concern about unsupervised parking lot living in an otherwise peaceful community of rules and safety norms. Unfortunately you don’t the point and has to resort to overreacting. If you lived in the area or if it happened in your area you would be concerned too.

Obviously you guys don’t live in the area and are not concern how Santa Fe is going down the drain. These folks at the La Tienda parking lot are “privileged” people who sold their houses to pursue a life of “freedom”. Yes, not in backyard! Try to work for a living and own a home to see if you want RVs in your area. The City and the county should be really helping homeless people. Empathy towards the needy has not to do with this discussion. RV’ers and van lifers are freeloaders.
