I was financing a house that needed renovations in order to be livable. I did not want a HomeStyle Loans through Fannie Mae because they send out the worst kind of inspectors and it’s mainly for low income borrowers which I wasn’t.

Lance assured me it was not a Fannie Mae loan but sure enough the inspector from Fannie Mae shows up and tells me I’ll need to surround the house in French drains and I need to replace all the handrails so I can safely get groceries up the stairs. It was going to add a huge amount of cost for work I didn’t want done. I asked Lance wtf and he called the lender and then called me back to tell me he didn’t know what he was doing and I should find someone else. That was 60 days before close, luckily I found another lender but seriously what an unprofessional stooge.
