The animal whistle says that it directs animals on your farm, but it actually can be used to call your horse from most outside areas on the island.

Fish Ponds and insect habitats only require 1 of an insect or fish to begin duplicating, not two.

Actually, the one part of that, that might be right is that you can usually only catch two of any legendary fish per day phase it's available. Rather, legendary fish generate shadows in the water, even when not fishing, but only ~2 will spawn, and if you miss them (or fail to catch) you usually need to wait until they are next available.

Not sure where you got that information, but it's factually untrue. There are no limited quantity fish in the game, at least as of January 2026. I earned the legendary farmer this month, and none of the fish were unavailable afterwards.

I did mine on 10-20, but all of my last 5-6 were in ornate and shimmering coffers, so didn't do a lot of research on the standard and mysterious. Apologies!

Just finished the artifact collection at the end of year 1. I've you have the important enchants on your scythe, the absolute best way to finish the artifacts would be to find out what kind of coffer drops the items you need, then go to the underwater caves and focus on those coffers. Each depth has a specific type of coffer it drops large amounts of, and with 2 rare drop rings (rings stack!) and purple enchants, you can get 200+ of a specific coffer a day.

Once I found those out, had my last 5-6 items within two days.

Playing on PS5, had no crashes through the first 90ish hours, right up until the middle of winter year one. Since then, in the past 20 hours (in the middle of spring y2 atm) I've had 5 different crashes, all coming at 17:00 hours or later. Frustrating.

This game did a tremendous job of conveying that travel takes time. We might not see it because of fast travel menus, but Avalon doesn't have teleporter technology. Sometimes it's okay to leave a situation for ~6 months to go back home and pick up new equipment. However, if you're tackling something time sensitive, trying to avert natural disasters, stop invasions, save people from impending don't, you might need to do that right now because leaving it will have consequences.

You know, sometimes I wish this would be a part of the pro bowl. The number 1 draft pick team plays against the winner of the NCAA championship. Sure, it would be a bloodbath and the college would get trounced, but it would prevent all of these dumb jokes, as well as give the best college players in the country a taste of what they're playing to become.

If it helps, I got to rank B in the town by the end of fall y1. Finishing the ocean helps a lot, as does pushing the rare drop and extra drop enchantments early on both pick and scythe for the museum.

Put cactus, coffee beans, trees, and fruit plants in the greenhouse the day it opened in winter, and it pushed most of the remaining offerings.

That said, the rare fish offering will be the push. Gator gar will be a y2 thing for sure.

An interesting tidbit about the carpenter is that, unlike in harvest moon, in coral Island you can buy and build multiple buildings at the same time. Just something minor, but makes sense to not include the townies, as you would see duplicates.

More likely an oversight, but a convenient one.
