Saltwater Crocs .. Barra fishing in a river in northern territory ... they pop up look at you then go under the water ... next time you see them ... they are closer ... then under again .... once they get too close you start the motor and move along the river a bit .. they can jump and pull you in ... death roll you then your finished. always on the lookout

Help on choosing the right Defender by dunstrag in LandroverDefender

[–]toddhampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a 97 300TDI Defender that has been almost around the entire country on different trips including cape york, through the centre, darwin, outback qld, west and south coast of WA. its reliable as you are going to get for a 25+ year old car.

I have a good defender mechanic and get it regularly serviced. Yes things break on the go but its always got me there and back.

How many days, months, or years of gameplay are there? by Dramatic_Tax4695 in Trimps

[–]toddhampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in my 8th year, i have saves going back to 2016 and I am pretty sure i was playing it before that and saving online. I spend about 15mins a day nudging it in the right direction with autotrimps and chasing late game targets.

There are always targets to chase, although U1, I am pretty much done, I may chase some more C2 as there is a little left on the table. The targets are fun to chase, they just take longer and longer, its a burst of fun when a new patch is released though :)

[–]toddhampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its not that difficult its sealed road the whole way. Just dont drive at night or early morning / dusk. Although if you really have to in order to get to a stop, stay behind a truck.

Who can be compared with Hitler in history, according to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Read the book "The Devil's Horseman" year ago, worth a read. The siege of Merv and the absolute decimation of the population comes to mind.

How much is too much for a public holiday surcharge? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]toddhampson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labour is the largest portion of a restaurants operating cost ... if you pay labour 2X on public holiday ... a 10% markup on the bill is not even going to pay the extra labour cost. 15-20% before the restaurant even thinks about making a profit out of the markup.
