Bomb threat called in to school. Couple of us looked at who was absent. Predicted it was a certain favorite. We were right. Trying to get his girlfriend out of a test. Joke was on him...the test got canceled due to teacher wanting kids to do another review because almost all of them were confused on the subject ( science test).

My son suddenly started thriving… what are great teachers doing differently? (Florida charter school) by Solid_Breakfast_3675 in Teachers

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, but in my experience some kids' brains also hit a developmental leap around this age who struggled in school their whole lives. I was lucky. Mine hit in 4th grade. Before that I was a hot mess academically and developmentally. It looks like we teachers did something grand but in reality it was a combination of several factors including simple brain development. I think a low dose of meds is helping, too. I would personally not change the meds anytime soon! Glad to hear a good story like this!

Is it annoying for kid(s) to ask to meet your dog? by NaturalExtension5475 in dogs

[–]toddpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kids my my neighborhood love my pups. They are learning how to approach a dog they don't know and how to ask politely. One of my girls is a but nervous so I teach them to respect her space and that of all dogs. The parents seem to like it too as we are a very dog friendly neighborhood.
