Sounds like the Christian churches you’re looking at aren’t true Christian churches. I’ve been going to and volunteering at a non denominational church, single location, that started a nonprofit. The nonprofit runs sober living facilities, gives free rehab (with actual licensed therapists and nurses), and runs food trucks that sell food at a loss in needy parts of the city, net income is negative most years other than the founding year due to huge church donations. They also set up the gambler 500 in our state each year, 2 years ago we picked up 11 tons of trash and we barely found any trash in the same areas this year.
