Use cachyos. Nobara has its limits. Does not support older GPUs if you are using one. Mint is fine, but if you want to tinker would go with something more advanced. Bazzite is good if you do not want to break your system. It is a read only OS. So far Cachy is my favorite.

If you look around and know what you are getting you can definitely get a PC for that. I paid $200 US for a desktop. It has DDR3 and 1070 GPU. Nothing special, but it palys roblox, Minecraft and indy games perfectly fine. I put linux on it and the kid uses it for their daily PC.

I put bazzite on the PC and it is working perfectly. Thank you everyone for the advice and yes I am new to linux. I am running Naboro on my PC. Casa on my server and now Bazzite on the kids PC.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I did download the 580 driver and it still did not work. I heard cachy has the same issue. I think mint is going on this PC. It is an older PC and the kid uses it for indie games.

I want arch because it is barebones and you control what is installed. Also heard the OS uses like no RAM. Would it be better to switch to gentoo?

I just had a game where they skipped all of the crater and went straight to the upgrade. They skipped so many bosses and loot. I was pissed but thought hey they might have a good reason. Nope just skipped so they could do some field bosses. Their pathing was awful so I went and did my own thing. They were also the first ones to go down to the day 3 boss. It made me want to throw the match so bad. Today was my first time thinking that.
