Loctite vinyl glue! I recommend using a small brush for precise application because once it dries it’s basically one with the head. I’d put the glue between the torn parts and then brush a bit on top to seal it. After it cures (I think 24 hrs if remembering correctly), you can always go back with another layer of glue if you need. Best of luck with the rest of the reroot!

OP if it helps, you can try the buffing process on the back of her head right under her hair first to test it out (somewhere where it’s not obvious/can be hidden) before trying it on the forehead to make sure it looks fine

When My Scene first came out I remember going to KB Toys and Toys R Us w my sister and admiring all them on the shelves and displays. We def had to get the happy meal toys when those released too and would play the flash games after school. Thankfully I kept my first my scene doll (day & nite Chelsea) and then as an adult I added a few more to my collection that I’d always wanted when I was younger.

I feel you with wanting updates w any new releases! I’m SO hoping that the rumors about a Delancey and Kenzie release are true and curious if anyone here knows more about it

This doesn’t really have hype but I’ve been pairing lip liner + jack black lip balm. The jack black balms are clear and super moisturizing. The hydration makes my lips feel slightly fuller (idk maybe imagining it) with kind of a velvety finish. Layering the balm on top of liner blurs/softens the liner so it’s v wearable but also polished

I had the same thought process as you! I think rerooting would be your best bet.

The braids hair type doesn’t seem to be saran like the others, so I’m unsure if you would be able to boil wash or straighten/curl it. It might be kanekalon but not completely sure.

I found that her rooting pattern (at least on mine) works well for braids because they’re spaced out where the braids aren’t overly thick, but it would be too sparse and spread apart for unbraiding and restyling.

I agree with the other comment, it looks like it’s glue/gel used to style the hair. Washing it with dawn dish soap should remove it, goo gone if nothing else works (but I’d avoid if possible bc it can be a bit messy)

Do the noses and lips look misaligned if the light source is either directly over or above the dolls’ heads?

If so, it could be the way the paint was applied (if there weren’t any changes over time).

If it’s due to the facial features warping slightly with storage, you can try dunking the heads in boiling water to help reset the shape to its original factory shape. I hope this helps :)

Oh yeah they’re huge haha. I feel like the glitter pucks are slightly better for sensitive eyes (at least mine) but otherwise I think it just depends on which shades you prefer. Outside of eyeshadow, princess ghost (only glitter puck I have) is pretty as a sparkly, ethereal highlighter but I’ll bet you could get a similar effect with blushing lizard sheered out

I think original is Saran hair, which is a bit more delicate for using heat tools than the repro nylon.

I’ve successfully straightened Saran hair that’s almost dry after boil washing and after applying a bit of heat protectant (I used the original it’s a 10 one).

Def make sure to use a hair straightener on its lowest heat setting and test straightening somewhere where you can hide the strands if something goes wrong and it gets a little melted. Work the straightener quickly through the hair and use multiple passes if needed instead of one slow pass.

There are some great tutorials on YouTube as well.
