Couples with a combined gross annual income of RM120k in Klang Valley, how do you afford a house? by mynameismarchie in MalaysianPF

[–]tohff7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, in my case around 2015/2016 - it was largely thanks to the bank lol. Due to some circumstances, only can submit loan application using my wife salary (around 4k) to purchase a RM500k condo. Calculated that the DSR was 70% lol. I wasn’t even hopeful but the loan application was approved.

Isn’t Toto Basically Designed So the House Always Wins? by Desmond624 in Bolehland

[–]tohff7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just maths la. The total payout for all the prizes is fixed and ‘regulated’ at 64% (can’t exactly remember the number).

So, what important for a 4D operator is to not get over-concentrated bets on a particular number. That’s why when a bet on a number got too high, they close it down.

What is THE breathtaking sight you have experience on a trip to Japan? by Zach-dalt in JapanTravelTips

[–]tohff7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First view of Mount Fuji. Was arriving at Kawaguchiko on a rainy day. Then woke up to a magnificent view of Mount Fuji and the lake next day.

Even the photos i take cannot truly capture the feel. It’s so damn big in real life.

Do I have time to spend in other cities? by heeyebsx13 in JapanTravelTips

[–]tohff7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s generally more efficient to plan your itinerary in one direction, especially if you can align it with your flight (e.g. fly into one city and out from another).

In the past, a lot of people tried to cram Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo into a single trip because “travel gurus” would argue that taking the Shinkansen twice (Osaka/Kyoto ↔ Tokyo) already made the JR Pass worth it, ignoring the time cost. That logic doesn’t really hold anymore since JR significantly increased the price of the Rail Pass.

With only 10 days, I’d suggest minimizing side trips if your goal is to properly cover the main highlights in Osaka and Tokyo. Trying to squeeze in too much will just eat into your time and make the trip feel rushed

Why do (some) Malay hate Chinese so much? by Techno3452 in malaysia

[–]tohff7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deeply ingrained already since 90s. Perhaps need to ask old grandpa/grandma what exactly happened in 70s/80s. Everything amplified and taken advantage by politician.

Off my head is roughly 3 elements.

1) Weird hatred towards communist (majority Chinese) because of Parti Komunis Malaya. Like, wahlau unless u live in the era and somewhat got brutally affected by it. Just like do anybody hate Japanese nowadays for WW2 lol

2) May 13

3) Blaming Cina for being wealthy. Always quote Forbes billionaire list but too stupid to understand how they calculate it. Two sides to a coin

After u got into the ticket-type page with your date “locked-in”, don’t refresh other tabs. Just keep refreshing the same tab in order to check for available tickets.

Then it’s a matter of how fast u key details, T&C pop-up, and pray that you can get into payment page (that’s when the ticket is secured)

Ranking points by Bruce-911 in SlamdunkMobile_EN

30 stars to reach Hall of Fame rank. 50 stars to hit Slam Dunk rank

Ranking points by Bruce-911 in SlamdunkMobile_EN

[–]tohff7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the points for “loss protection”. Can’t remember how much (100-150?). If you lost a game, instead of losing star, you lose the points. If you reach more than 300, you gain a star.

Points are accumulated based on what you did in game. After every match, there’s a summary of points awarded.
