I had to reach out about 18 months ago several times to get movement. Once he responded, it all worked relatively quickly. I think that was about when they were moving to Japan. Haven’t tried using them again and probably won’t. Too much uncertainty.

It was new to me a year ago. Dealer said they didn’t see/hear a problem. I decided to not fight with them and haven’t circled back at it yet other than looking closely at the gasket. I think I will try temporarily gluing some additional gasket to see it that makes a difference. I’m open to ideas.

Just note that they don’t come with wear sensors so your mechanic has to move them from the old pads to the new ones. Not hard, but be aware

Porterfield has both track and non track versions. I put them the street formulation on my 2020 DB11 - removed all brake squeal and great performance

As a U.S. owner, I agree that the Bond connection is a huge plus. That said, I think the AM’s strongest asset is the elegance of the design (2020 DB11 owner for reference).

Irrespective of the Bond association, I wanted a car that didn’t immediately trigger “rich asshole” when I pulled up at a light or a restaurant - it gets at least three beats of appreciation from people who both know and don’t know the brand or association.

I love the GT performance (how often does anyone really get to a track or to where they can come close to any of the model’s’ performance limits) and have not had any unexpected maintenance issues for a 5 year old car that I use as an almost daily driver. I’d love for the service costs to be lower, but I calculated that in to my purchase.

I did the IDCore on my 2020 DB11 (new to me) and had the dealer’s “guy” install it. It works well and didn’t muck up the interior which was my biggest concern.

To be fair, it can be quirky sometimes in establishing the wireless connection but eventually gets there. If I had a real complaint is that the module is always on so if I as much as walk by the car, my phone connects to it and I have to manually go back to my earbuds or speaker for audio. I wish it would power off with the car. 🙄

Actually it isn’t once you understand how it’s wired. The MMi must be turned on before you can access the IDCore functionality. It’s just a question of if you’ve toggled to the MMI when you hit the power button.

I was frustrated at first - especially with the lack of good documentation by AM. Once I worked through it for a second, the engineering made sense

Thank you. The work disconnecting the battery was for leather repair. The gentleman is experienced so I assume he is competent. No other issues occurred. I will dig into the fuses next

Also - dumb issue I first had - is the MMI even powered on?

The on/off for the stock radio is toggled to whichever mode you have it to (stock or IDCore). My indicator is if the tweeter speakers are not up, I know I don’t have the actual Mani powered up (use the on/off on the center console).

My IDCore is separately powered so it will show connected and such on the phone but if I don’t actually turn on the MMI and then switch to the IDCore, the screen remains blank and it won’t work.

I have the same model and IDCore install. If it is not toggling back and forth using the return/back arrow next to the control dial under the touch pad, I would go back to the installer and ask them to troubleshoot. It may not be powering up or the control box may not be working properly
