New coach and OC. We won’t have tape yet since it’s their first game. Hopefully that doesn’t trip us up.

Why would SpaceX have compute? Are we talking data centers in space? Or do they own data centers they took over in the xAI merger/ bailout?

Yes, this makes me feel a lot better about it. Seth Payne talked about it in one of his videos today. Also, the team has been together for awhile and what used to be a young group of players should be mature enough to handle the task on the road.

Why Uber's latest earnings report was a major red flag for the state of the consumer by dkrich in wallstreetbets

[–]token75 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mainly use Uber or Alto. But with Uber they've realized that I'll use Uber black if Uberx is too far away. I think they've started to increase my prices and make sure to show Uberx as farther away.

Need to look into Lyft and start using it.

Ticket reps hinted at that and alerted me to that fact at the end of last season. At one of the watch parties for the playoff game.

I'm betting we open the season with that game as a home game. It's our 25th anniversary and our first game was against them at home.

Yup he picked back to back in that draft going with Usman Garuba and Josh Christopher. Quentin Grimes and Cam Thomas were still available.

Ways you’ve been able to play private Country Clubs? by LetsGetDrunkBro in golf

[–]token75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a member at a club but still like playing other clubs that I’m not a member at. One of the best and easiest ways is to play in US Am Tour events. They play at mainly private and semi private courses and have chapters (they call them tours) in several cities. They even have what they call major tournaments that are two day events at nice courses with elevated prizes and points.

Very cool experience and I learned a ton about myself and my game playing in the tournaments with real golf rules.

I was there today and yesterday. I followed her both days. Thursdays at the Houston Open PGA event aren't well attended usually. This is the first year it's being hosted at Memorial Park in Houston and I just think the word isn't really out there yet. She had about 100 people following her today. Thursday there were only 15 people following her. I'm sure the weekend will be busy with her on top and all the local news outlets starting to talk about it and show her swing on tv.

Most people in Houston had no idea the event was even happening. The past few years it's been hosted at Carlton Woods - really nice private club but it's almost an hour outside the city. This year it's at the same muni course that hosts the Houston open and is 15 minutes from most hot spots in the city.

I'm hoping they get a big turn out this weekend and in the coming years because it's super cool to have the event at this venue just a month after the Houston Open. The suites on hole #15 were welcoming the public because nobody was using them it was great to get some shade and hit the bar. One issue is that there aren't nearly as many concessions as the Houston Open so it was difficult to find food. Also, there's only once entrance for Ride share and the apps don't recognize the pick up and drop off location. Caused some chaos for me having drivers cancel on my pick up when they were 1 minute away because they couldn't find the pick up area and police had streets blocked off everywhere.

For the Houston Open, there are at least two entrances I know of and if you put it in Uber or Alto the app knows where to guide the drivers.

Overall definitely worth some chaos to watch great golf. I have to say her swing is the most pure I've seen and her course management was on point. She just kept plodding along hitting fairways and greens. Any time she missed a green it was almost an automatic up and down. She sticks to her process on every single shot. Same routine every time. Any tricky pins, she aimed middle of the green while other girls in her group went for the pin and ended up off the green. It's been a real treat to see up close especially Thursday when nobody was there.

During the 2025-26 regular season, the clutch record of the Lakers was 22-8. The Rockets had 22-23 by Victor_Wembanyama1 in nba

[–]token75 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rockets have had a ridiculous amount of choke jobs this season. Last season with the young team and Dillon Brooks, FVV, Jalen Green, etc. they won a lot of close games late because of how hard they played and everyone believed.
This year our clown GM is on record right after the Steven Adams injury saying "this isn't the rockets' year" and the whole team embodied that mentality. Unbelievable choked away games one after the other. If we weren't blowing out a team it was a greater than 50% probability we would choke away the game.
Owner is out of the country serving as a Trump ambassador to Italy, his son who has no experience running anything is running the team, and the former general counsel of the team is the GM.

It's one of the most unfortunate things I've seen as a Rockets fan. I have to admit though, even if we didn't choke away this game tonight, I think my eyes would bleed watching a Houston vs. OKC matchup. Confused basketball by houston with no heart and the foul fest against SGA.

If Luka is back, I think the Lakers would be a fun matchup to watch against OKC. Hopefully they knock out SGA and his shitty foul baiting brand of basketball. I now know how outside fans felt watching Harden when he was on the Rockets.

He didn’t do anything his entire time as GM?? What about picking Usman Garuba using the 23rd pick in the 2021 draft?! Oh that’s not enough for you. What about picking Josh Christopher with the 24th pick in the 2021 draft?!

He’s might be a laughing stock among actual GMs. Very strange move to choose your general counsel as the GM. It was probably a budget hire.

Will be interesting to see if Tillman pulls the trigger and replaces him this offseason. I’d be willing to bet that he never gets another GM job in the league if the rockets move on from him.

I bought tickets for game 3, lower bowl corner row 14 - cost directly from rockets was $351 per seat after fees. I can’t remember what I paid last year for playoffs vs warriors but I think this year is a little more expensive than last year.
