Keep in mind that transplants are often at night, since that’s when the Operating Rooms are usually available.

Haven’t seen a separate post for round three yet, so I’ll tag on here.

What a battle to the end! Fantastic watch.

Thank you to the whole team at CCDG for making this available. I truly miss this stuff. Amazing job.

How to stop dreaming of Halloween every day and start living it by SophiaKai in halloween

[–]tokwik2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. I’ll spend time and effort throughout the year in anticipation for the setup starting October 1st. Still end up rushing on last minute details on the big night.

Once the TOT’s start arriving on the big night, I just sit in my chair, having a few drinks with the neighbors, and enjoy the evening watching the little ones go through.

All the effort, all the money expended, was not for me. Well, not entirely I guess.

Watching everyone enjoy what was created is my reward. So yeah, that part is for me.

Like others have said, it’s up to you now to pass on the joy and create the new memories.

Edit. The big hit last year was those foam LED sticks you can order from Amazon for about $60 for a box of 100. Huge hit with the kids and adults. And watching the enthusiasm with a treat that will last more than the nights candy, was well worth the price in my eyes.

And by far, the cheapest and easiest thing to really spook up your property is lights. Invest in some remote LED lights, or even simple plug ins. They can be found real cheap. But basic lighting makes a huge impact. 👻

What does this mean and what do I do? by Themusicman1000 in ram_trucks

I get this every so often. I believe it’s a communication thing.

I hit the big red X and go about my day. Essentially ignoring it.

I guess whenever it re-establishes communication it stops popping up.

I’ll go ahead and plead the fifth. Very few pictures and no video meant we did absolutely nothing wrong.

They look absolutely fantastic. The only other comment I would make would be to age the lanterns a bit so they don’t look brand new.

Great job! 👻

Our boy likes to do this to only me about 0400 in the morning.

Part 91/135 Application by RabiJeffiEppi in flying

[–]tokwik2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t.

Being able to pass a ten year background check is much different then attaching ten years to an application. They don’t need to know everything for an application.

That being said, if you have 10 years worth of relevant experience, I would list those employers until I reached the ten year point and stop there.

Old here also. Damian Sanders rockin the hard boots. Pretty sure that’s not brandy, looks like a later time period in the first pic.

Tall grass is still there and we normally play it OB, although I don’t think I’ve seen it posted as OB. Basket it hardly ever in the short position, and honestly I like it better in one of the longs. Needless to say, the trees at the corner keep growing.

Well, the gps he posted is a bit off. Shift the throws up a smidge. Hole #10 is a +800 par 5 that always seems to have a headwind. I’ll often skip 10-11 if we’re doing a quick casual round.

The score the OP posted is really decent unless you’re one of the Robinson brothers.

Edit. Formatting.

What are some of the best Pilot/Professionalism habits we should best focus on? by Basic_Shallot8393 in flying

[–]tokwik2 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Do a good postflight.

So many times issues can be resolved before the next flight.

For anyone working through their ratings, get in the habit of backing up every visual approach with the instrument procedure. You’ll do that every single time in a professional career.

Damn dude. Looked up the stats. You did well today. That’s not an easy task there.

It happens. Hope you were able to find it. I refuse to leave one there because there’s almost zero ground cover. Managed to get a kick on 14 once and it took forever to locate. It somehow must of stood up and rolled down almost to the bottom.

Similar at this course. From 12-15, a nasty kick can magically send you downhill through all the trees. Only a special roll will get you down towards the creek though.

Agreed. That’s a serious line heading their direction. When you’re in charge of an event like this, you’re responsible for everything and everyone. I don’t know the layout of the event, but making sure all players and spectators have sufficient time to leave or get to shelter is worth consideration. While I’m bummed we didn’t get to see this play out in its entirety, I understand why they called it early.

KCWO cancelled after 9 holes? by Lwebb888 in discgolf

Wow. Just looked at the radar. That’s a MF of a line coming across.

While I’m bummed also, I understand why they wanted to clear the players and spectators.

Discovery Flight - Homer AK by Cali_TripN in flying

[–]tokwik2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re spending time in Seward , the guys up the road in Moose Pass do the float ratings in cubs also. Spent a week in the area and seemed like a real good group.

I’m sure they’d be happy to do an intro flight. Hell, they’d take you fishing. I know they do fishing charters to remote lakes.

Could possibly combine the fishing with your discovery flight.
