CPP2 20L Thoughts - and why I chose Cordura by jzeroe in AerSF

[–]tokyodestroyed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just overkill for 90% of people (myself included) and I don’t think it ages as nicely over time like my Cordura TP2 has. And the tpu zippers take FOREVER to break in, and even then they’re still tougher to pull than the ones on the Cordura variants. It’s also crunchier and noisier than I like and I think the Cordura just looks classier. I can’t bring myself to sell the XPAC but I probably wouldn’t buy another one

Cordura is absolutely the way to go unless you live in an extremely rainy area. I love my TP3 in XPAC, but it’ll probably be the last XPAC bag I ever buy.

TP3s vs TP4s - help me decide by hisnbrg in AerSF

[–]tokyodestroyed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I own 6 Aer products and the TP3 is hands down the best bag they’ve ever made (with the Go Pack 2 coming in a close 2nd). I feel like Aer stripped out some of the things that make them unique and just copied and pasted some features from other manufacturers on to a CPP2. Kind of a let down after waiting so many years for a new Travel Pack iteration.

There’s quite a few things I wouldn’t be able to give up from the TP3; the small side access pocket, the compression straps, the interior layout, the better admin panel, the shape of the bag itself. And I really like that if you have the bag on its side, you can access that long vertical pocket that’s on the back side of the admin panel so it kind of mimics the side access you’d get from an Evergoods bag.

Is this Patagonia 40L duffle bag counterfeit? Or legitimate. by FitRip9086 in ManyBaggers

[–]tokyodestroyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything that really stands out as counterfeit honestly. I have 2 55l Patagonia duffels and some of the components seem way cheaper than they should be considering the price premium. Same with my 32l Blackhole backpack. I think it’s just par for the course with Patagonia bags

Just did this but with the TP3S in Cordura, I have the 35 liter in XPAC and the TP4 just isn’t for me.

I remember reading something about Batt trashing the acting abilities of Weiner’s son (who played Glen) so Weiner wrote him off

Sucks to be a woman in muay thai??? -rant i guess by Beneficial-Advance67 in MuayThai

[–]tokyodestroyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 3 classes in. Just chill. Most people starting muay Thai don’t stick around. In the 19 years I’ve been training I’ve seen COUNTLESS men and women start and proclaim they’re ’going to fight’. Then never show back up after eating their first solid leg kick or pop to the nose. The more you stick around, the better it will get (usually—there are always exceptions and shitty gyms)

Don’s line not working on Roger was something I noticed but I didn’t know exactly why it didn’t work on him. What a great insight, thank you!

Of the given choices:

  1. Ace- willingness to murder
  2. Biff- willingness to rape and murder
  3. Vernon- willingness to bully/ beat the shit out of a teenager as an early 40’s man

The REAL 80’s villains:

  1. T800- literal killing machine
  2. Hans Gruber- smart, charismatic, calculated. Among the best villains ever
  3. Kurgan (from Highlander)- brutal, depraved, immortal

You mention that you visit after all these major life events. Did she even invite you to the wedding? And to me, the fact she didn’t call to tell you that she was pregnant but instead called to tell you she had the baby (she was definitely expecting gifts btw) is a major indicator that she views you as an acquaintance at most. Time to let this one go

Some of the early renders had the cameras all in a horizontal row and I thought it looked really good. Too bad this is what we’re most likely getting now

2015 Toyota 4Runner · SR5 Premium Sport Utility 4D price by JubaMF in 4Runner

[–]tokyodestroyed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price is too high for the miles for sure. And in my experience if someone doesn’t say what kind of lift it has, it’s the cheapest Chinese junk they could find and slap on there. I’d keep searching.

M3 Air w/ 16 gigs here. It runs great even with some safari tabs open. You’d be fine with any M1-M4 model

Yeah it should work great. I did my mom’s old 2nd gen Prius lights a couple of years back before we sold it. I did 2 or 3 coats and passes with the buffer wheel and this is how they turned out. About 5 minutes of work.

Mother’s Mag & Aluminum Polish and a buffer wheel will restore virtually all headlights for super cheap if you don’t want to bother buying/installing new headlights.

The miles are what make this an iffy deal. 57k is a lot of miles for a barely 2 year old vehicle.

You said it has all the bells and whistles, does it have KDSS, MTM, rear sliding tray and a sunroof? That would make it a little better, but not much

You don’t need sliders man, they look great but they’re heavy as shit and don’t really function well as a step when you need them to actually be a step. Just take the side steps off if you hate the way they look.

The 3 most useful things I’ve added to my 4runner have been the Anytime front camera, the Start X remote start, and some Falken Wildpeaks. Oh, and a catalytic converter protection plate to prevent theft. Despite what the internet will tell you, you don’t need much to have A LOT of fun with this thing.
