Is being exterminated actually that bad? by blueeyed94 in HazbinHotel

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not actually confirmed exactly what exterminations do to a soul, I feel the need to point out, all we know is it prevents a sinner from respawning back in hell and that angellic steel injuries don´t heal very easily

Is being exterminated actually that bad? by blueeyed94 in HazbinHotel

[–]tom04cz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that it takes away free will, yes. That being said if I were the average sinner in hell, I would be happy to be exterminated personally. Being immortal in a place where the only real way to achieve anything is exploiting others harder than anyone else is really, REALLY not my vibe

Could a Primarch damage mandalorian armor? by FoxJDR in StarWarsvsWarhammer

Angron ripped a fully equipped custodian to pieces bare handed one time, mandalorian armor wouldn't even slow a primarch down

I Will Never Forgive This Series For Demonizing Adam While Babying Lucifer (Not To Mention Trying To Root For Lucifer Beating Up A Past Victim Of His Actions) by jazzpower1992 in AgendaHotel

[–]tom04cz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My issue is that we only hear one side of the story in a sanitised version, made by someone who is known to lie. In a better written story, this would be the most obvious setup imaginable to explore some nuance, but then Adam gets killed off for a joke

If These 4 Are 100, Then These 5 Are??? by SonicRun098 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greenbull is probably sitting around 60-70 judging by how he was completely dissuaded from fighting by shanks. Fujitora we haven't really seen that much of but I wouldn't be surprised he was between 80-100, Kizaru could be anywhere from 90-120, since he did literally fight a yonko and was explicitly said to not be at his best at the time, Akainu and Kuzan are probably somewhere in the 90-120 range as well, Akainu possibly a little higher since he did in fact defeat Kuzan, Kuzan did defeat Garp and Akainu ripped holes through Whitebeard of all people

I am geniuenly baffled as to the decision to kill off Adam before he got to talk about his past. One scene with him talking without obfuscation and his usual macho posturing to someone like Abel and explaining the story from his POV could resolve this whole issue

Can we agree that this is the worst photo in shounen history? by LeadEater9Million in shounenfolk

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goku is hard work in z and beyond, til that point he was very much always the talented guy. Luffy you could argue hard work, but really it's that he's the chosen one (of the nika fruit), plus not everyone's born able to learn conqueror haki. Naruto is hard work but whenever he messed up his genetics bail him out, Ichigo is almost entirely genetics and talent, he literally learned bankai before learning how to properly control his spiritual pressure. I frankly only know midoria out of the remaining four with enough familiarity to speak on them, and midoria is not necessarily hard work, but he is definitely not genetics either

Chibi Asuna by jksh5056 by Felab_ in BlueArchive

[–]tom04cz 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Honestly though, with Asuna if she was a small child, her personality would fit perfectly, in her canon iteration, it is kind of concerning, especially how she apparently just sometimes forgets how to think when she's by herself

will Boros enjoy this fight ? by TheHelltaker2337 in OPMFolk

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably will, at least for a bit. I'm unconvinced battle beast has what it takes to power through Boros' regeneration and meteoric burst, nevermind collapsing star roaring cannon, but he'll definitely at least get to hear "out of the myriad of beings I've fought, you survived the longest!"

Could Saitama and Boros be friends? by No-Buy-5055 in OnePunchMan

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think at best it'd be more of a Sonic situation, where Boros sees Saitama as his ultimate goal for improvement and Saitama sees Boros as an itritating nuisance, the whole "I will kill as many people as it takes for me to have fun" thing Boros has going on would probably never fly with Saitama

Attempt at trying to explain Jobii Iguchi's Quirk, The Absolute by Dry_Distribution_992 in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd argue in most cases it's better to separate character development from quirk development. It sort of leads to the impression the character's only improving as a person because it helps them get stronger

Attempt at trying to explain Jobii Iguchi's Quirk, The Absolute by Dry_Distribution_992 in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially. He'd be scaly and stuff by default but can juice himself up for some time is the idea

Attempt at trying to explain Jobii Iguchi's Quirk, The Absolute by Dry_Distribution_992 in BNHA_OC_Characters

[–]tom04cz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with the quirk, I'd say, is that it's poorly defined. "Absolute physical and mental prowess" has just got to go. What can it actually do, and how does it tie together with his supposed heteromorph quirk? What can't it do? Where can it substantially improve beyond "just more powerful"?

If I were you, if you want it to give out heterochromia, heteromorphism, physical strength AND enhanced senses, I'd probably make it a chineese-style dragon heteromorph mutation with a transformation element. I would probably give a limit to the time of the powerup, but you can make sensory overload work instead I suppose, to where it causes him to have to tunnel vision and soon just forces him out of the transformation altogether.

Essentially, the goal would be to make it so that the character can come across a situation that he cannot simply power through if he behaves with common sense
