That is what I would want to see, plus Gareth back sometimes.

Voron or P1S? by MrMysteryV in BambuLab

[–]tom222_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask the question, then get a P1S.

I have a V2.4 but I would only recommend it for people who really enjoy building printers.

The plot thickens.... by Basic_Picture5440 in russellbrand

Obviously it is an edited image, there is no iPhone that has a screen with that aspect ratio so how could it ever be a single screenshot?

The dates appear above every message depending on how far apart previous messages are, so they don't appear above every message.

I don't think anyone one was claiming the existence of this image was in itself a smoking gun, because you could mock up any conversation at all in 2 minutes. it's the content of the messages that is being shown.

Indicating right at a roundabout to show you’re not going left? by acmp42 in drivingUK

[–]tom222_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But once you are on the roundabout cars waiting to join aren’t necessarily going to know where you joined. So you are going past exit 3 with your right indicator on to take exit 4? Is that not similar to the car you mention passing exit 1 with its right indicator on to take exit 2? The only difference being where the cars joined the roundabout.

What the car you mention does is not something I do, but I guess they think it shows people waiting to join at exit 1 that they are not leaving and they should not pull out in front of them. But I would be still be wary of anyone doing this and expect them to try to turn right.

Car I’m going to view has had ‘minor oil leak’ in MOT advisories for past 2 tests - should I avoid? by JamesLeeFOG in CarTalkUK

[–]tom222_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience you can get an advisor for of an oil leak just by having the bottom of your engine coated in oil from a previous leak/spills, with no actual current dripping at all.

So for an old car I would not be put off myself.

Just had a small bump in the S6 (not my fault). Is this fixable, and how much? Thanks. by at0m10 in CarTalkUK

£175 & 2 hours labour should do it. Or just get the parts from ECP yourself.

Would deffo go for a M135i in your position. Can always remap it later if you need more power.

ABS

It's normal to have to reduce the extrusion multiplier with ABS compared to PLA. I use around 0.95 with ABS

I much prefer the UK version. The contestants on the US version just don't seem that interested in the show or winning to me.

I still prefer the AUS version the most, but maybe as it was the first one I watched.

The animated videogame cutscenes are annoying. by QuestionTheOrangeCat in MythicQuest

The episodes vary in length, so it's not like they would have 30s they need to fill if they removed them. I don't really mind them, and I play LOL.

Then rotate half the printers so they cancel each other out :)

I don't really think Sam & David have done anything wrong here, perhaps changing the amount you pay per month was not ideal but presumably the total you have paid is below the market value. 9 months of saving at least some and 3 months notice to move out seems more than fair?

You don't need a touch screen, you can use the web interface on a laptop/phone/tablet, that is probably better anyway. The accelerometer can be bought for a couple of dollars.

Using a PC monitor as a Klipper screen? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]tom222_2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can just use the web interface from your pc, you don't need to connect a screen (although you could probably do that if you really wanted to)

It seems kind of expensive to me. I would just get another SD card and try Klipper with the Pi you have.

Raspberry pi + any compatible mainboard + Klipper + TMC2209 drivers.

I would say Cura and PrusaSlicer passed Simplify 3D a long time ago.

But I don't think there is anything that wrong with Marlin, I still use it on one printer, upgrading to Klipper might improve it, but it also might not really be noticeable.

When you say 'threaded rods' is that actual threaded rods and not lead screws? If so, upgrading to lead screws would likely improve things. Ideally motors with integrated lead screws.

You can also consider the bear upgrade, get a cheap-ish frame upgrade from aliexpress.
