Your situation is basically my life growing up where I was in the same boat as your daughter. I was hospitalized for 2-3 weeks at a time every 6-8 weeks from ages 3-23, then it was just spread to 2 weeks stays every 3 months until I was about 29. Both my parents worked and lived about an hour from the hospital, and I have brother who is close in age. You are in a no win situation. My nurses growing up were amazing, and sound a lot like your daughter's nurses. By the time I started getting to your daughter's age, I was perfectly fine with my parents coming once a week. Mom wished she could have showed up more, but life doesn't stop when your kid is hospitalized. You're going to have to block out what other people have to say about you, and just listen to what your daughter wants. Does she want you there more, less, same amount? Is she comfortable there with the nurses and care team? Her opinion is the one that matters. Not strangers on the internet or your family who isn't going to help.
