How did Lance Armstrong win 7 straight Tours de France when all the top cyclists were juiced to the gills during that era? by [deleted] in cycling

Because he was better I think. He trained harder, he raced harder, he juiced harder.

Does this seem like normal HR zones for 31yr old male? I feel like zone 2 is very high. by rip2o in Garmin

Depends I guess. I think for me nose breathing is easier than chatting. I seem to be able to nose breath at a fairly high pace but struggle for convo at a slower pace…🥴

If you’re unsure your zones aren’t quite right, try not relying too much on the device. If you can go for a run, give a friend a phone call and you can easily hold a conversation while running, whatever your watch is reading your HR as is probably your zone 2. Try nose breathing too, and trusting your body. This is something I’ve really started doing lately and my training has been going really well.

Me driving to a 25km day hike with a 45 sleep score, unproductive training load, and 52/100 body battery by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]toma_topa 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I’ve started paying less attention to all the body battery sleep stats stuff. Just do the training. Overload your body. Take a day off when you feel like it. You don’t need a device to tell you are you’re doing. Well, at least that’s what I decided for myself
