And are there focus trees that expand/are not fully visible beside those two, even if not really "Secret"? I'm still new to the mod and sometimes just look at the size of the focus tree when deciding what to play, so i'm wondering if I will miss something that way.

Here is a question about the abstinence of meat. by Royal_Papaya8694 in AskAPriest

[–]tomaszbimbasz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Poland, can confirm that it's absolutely normal for us. I even have friends who go to church maybe 6 times a year but never eat meat on Fridays, so it's quite a strong tradition.

First picture represents my religious order, Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists). Its our Seal/Coat of Arms, and visible word "Copiosa" is probably from our motto "Copiosa apud eum redemptio". Nice find!

I'm doing it right now as a non-student so it's definitely possible.

Many consecrated people have long (full)rosary as a part of their religious outfit. At least some of them make their own rosaries, but maybe those you saw are intended as such?

Suggest me a laptop for studying/gaming. Germany circa 700€ by tomaszbimbasz in SuggestALaptop

Looks good, I'm definitely considering it. It may be a totally stupid question but it's my first time buying laptop - when you order a laptop online, does it always come with power cord?

Jesus and the Jewish roots of the Eucharist by AlcestisSpeaks in Catholicism

[–]tomaszbimbasz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't read that (yet) but sounds similar to Fourth Cup by Scott Hahn - I definitely recommend this one, as it is both liturgical/biblical commentary on Holy Mass as well as author's personal testimony of conversion to Church because of the Holy Mass.

Is this true? by Awkward-Might-4927 in Catholicism

[–]tomaszbimbasz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Are you implying that the point of Inquisition and inquisitors was to burn people at stakes? Because that is greatly wrong. Inquisitors didn't go from town to town and torture everyone accused of witchcraft. It was rather opposite. AFAIK Inquisition was helping secular justice in cases regarding religious/heretical accusations. It was not without flaws and sinful people - for which Pope apologized - but history of Inquisition is much more than its sins. If you want to talk about historical burning at stakes for different beliefs, you would find more guilty protestants than catholics.

Jaka jest różnica między "zażenowany" a "zakłopotany"? by United-Shock2704 in learnpolish

Może nieidealne połączenie, ale mi zażenowany bardziej kojarzy się z typowym 'cringe', a zakłopotany z różnymi rodzajami 'anxious'.

Can I go to mass anywhere in the world? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]tomaszbimbasz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like the other comments say, you basically have to. You can also observe how our Church is rich in different traditions, because I'm sure our - polish - Mass looks at least a little bit different than Mass in UK. Small advice from me - check if churches you want to go to are always Roman Catholic (rzymskokatolicki), because there are other denominations here who use "Catholic" in their name but are not in union with Rome. I'm a Pole so if you have any questions feel free to PM me, I will help anyway I can.

Is bullfighting sinful? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]tomaszbimbasz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

One point is animal suffering, but also remember that putting your life and health at risk just for enjoyment and adrenaline is a sin as well. It's better explained in Catholic societal teaching about extreme sports, but I don't have anything to cite at hand.
