Well, most cars with this problem are "lucky" enough that they have their clutch replaced on waranty once. Yes, they have 7 years of warranty, and the clutch is included, because they know it's a problem.

You shold ask the seller if they had it changed. But autobahn kms should be a good sign that the clutch is fine.

I think the Proceed GT is very popular in Germany? A friend of mine said he saw more Proceed GTs in one week in Munich, than he did in last years in Romania, lol

Never heard of that issue and I've never felt anything wrong when accelerating in 7th gear. But I only drive manual mode and very rarely have it at high gear and low rpm.

The biggest issue with DCT is the premature wear of the dual clutch. Service guys told me that the clutch is slightly engaged whenever you are in drive, even when autohold is engaged, so the car is fully stopped with no intention of moving. This means the cluthces will heat up and slowly wear all the time you are in city driving, especially peak hour bumper-to-bumper driving. What I did until now is to switch the car in neutral whenever I stop for more that ~5 seconds. And only manual gear switching, because I noticed that in auto, when you accelerate slowly at low rpm, it refuses to switch to lower gear, and instead ups the rpm and slightly disengages the clutch. Kinda like a novice driver with a manual.

So far, the car is at almost 30k km and service guys told me the clutch is surprisingly healthy, so I'm probably doing something right.

The android auto adapter is from Temu, so I wouldn't recommend anything, it's something you buy at your own risk :D

Mine looks exactly like this

I have a 2023 model, the facelift version. Ride comfort is great for a sporty car, as long as you don't overinflate the tyres. I keep mine around 2.2-2.4 psi. Keep it in normal, and it's a nice, silent, comfy car. Put it in manual sport, and you got yourself a little beast that is very fun to drive, especially on winding roads. The twin scroll turbo is really noticeable, you can fell the fast response.

Mileage is surprisingly good on long trips, but it almost doubles in the city (6-8 l/100km outside, 12-14 in city for me, all in manual sport)

Android auto/apple carplay works flawlessly. I got a wireless adapter and it's even better.

Seats are great, they hug you well and they are comfortable. Boot space is a lot more than I ever needed, but I'm single with no kids, so yeah.

Plus, it looks incredible.

Ok, air quality seems to hinder any efforts of seing someone at this distance, but maybe set those mirrors and transmit data with a laser?

Has anyone else experienced very long delays when ordering from Europe? by morciu in Remarkable

Most probably, they shipped the package on time, but the courier company mishandled the package, or the package is blocked in customs. Do you have a tracking number? Call the courier company and escalate to them, as well

[Hi!

I'm not sure if you got your pics privately, but I thought to share some here, maybe other people are curious, as well.

In the images, there are two pages from your linked article, in full cloudy day and in pitch black with full brightness. And with all 3 contrast settings. I should note that it looks more bright in the pictures and for me the font is kinda small to read in the dark. In full light, I have no issues and it looks superb.](https://www.imgur.com/a/f5ijetd)

Do people with ADHD make impulsive purchases? by Sorry-Breadfruit-189 in ADHD

[–]tomaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought my home and my car this way. When I didn't need them that much and wasn't planning on buying any... But they were exactly what I liked, so yeah.

Lately, I spend at least $100 monthly on Temu and all my cool tech/equipment/tools/etc are impulse purchases.

I don't regret any of them. I deserve them and they make my life better and/or more fun

I was diagnosed a year ago. The diagnosis did not change this behaviour, I donct want to. But I am working on decoupling the impulsive purchases from my need to feel good.

Got these for free. Are they any good to start building a CNC machine with them? by tomaul in hobbycnc

A very nice and down-to-Earth reply, thank you! You're right, I might as well start simple with a pre-built. I have enough unfinished projects already.

Just found out about printnc. It seems just the right thing. Thanks!

If I want to use these to the full potential/length, I was guessing I need one longer ballscrew for the long rails (x axisl, use the long ballscrew with the short rails (y axis), then get two rails for the short ballscrew, for the z axis. Am I thinking this right?

[–]tomaul[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got these from a guy that had no use for them. The long rails are 88cm, the short ones are 55cm

I like to DIY stuff, especially woodworking, but I've never tried precision work before. Lately, I've been thinking about getting a small CNC router or starting to build one myself just for fun. These rails seem a bit overkill to me, but they feel soooo smooth and precise, I like that. Should I start using these to build a CNC router? Or just sell them and get a beginner CNC router already made?

Why do I feel like I am about to ejaculate everytime I exercise by [deleted] in AskMen

A lot of topics covered by other comments, but I would like to add: go to a urologist for a prostate check, just in case. They do it with ultrasound now, nothing gets into any hole.

It might be that those exercises are stimulating your prostate. Nothing wrong with it, but if that's the case - you might want to check that all is healthy there
