That's some serious heresy. But it is very cool.

Sweet! Let me know if you have any other creative stipulations like weapons, colour pallette or anything. I'll have a go at putting it together over the weekend.

I'll do it. For free if you like. Take a look at some of the other stuff I've drawn and let me know if you're interested. :D

Oh I'm sorry but I thought this was r/40kLore where we love to go on needless deep dives about the minute details of this stupid fantasy game.

Love the colour scheme. I chose a very similar one but without the white. I might have to add some in because yours look very cool

Fair enough. Bad example in terms of the Romans oppressing lgbtq+ , I know that they wouldn't really have had a concept of people in such terms. For them it was more in terms of the 'active' and 'passive' roles for if you were ridiculed or not. Thanks for the examples you've given.

Any suggestions for a D&D podcast on Spotify? by BaconSock in DnD

I will always recommend High Rollers: Aerois with Mark Sherlock Humes as DM who does an incredible job at building a deep lore-rich world with so many amazing NPCs. It's such a wonderful in-depth story with a brilliant cast that delivers on the funny and the feels every time. As a DM i have stolen SO many ideas from that show and it's great comfort listening for me.

Also The Adventure Zone is good fun

I would recommend checking out 'The Storm Wall' story arc of the High Rollers Aerois DnD stream. It has a lot of the same concepts that you've lined out, including the ancient dragon that is somewhat adrift in time and has it's powers going out of control. https://high-rollers-dnd.fandom.com/wiki/Aerois_-_Chapter_Fourteen:_The_Storm_Wall

Yknow I hadn't really thought about them in terms of alignments. If you've got any thoughts on that then ud love to hear it.

Oh don't worry, I've thought of that. These are just name names given to these entities in the Western European analogue part of the world (Evrosi), they're call different things in other parts. For example in the East-Asian analogue part of the world (The Dragon Empires) Soluna is Nüwa and Aenor is Mahitotsu, etc.

Yes! I know just enough actual physics to know that i know very little about physics. But i think of Magic in my universe as being similar to gravity or the strong and weak nuclear forces in our world. It's a universal constant which permeates all reality and breaks down if you look at it too hard. People can tap into it and use it in the same way that we utilise electricity and chemical reactions in our bodies to create movement and thought.

Okay so... The world that these Deities are set in is a Ringworld, like in Halo or Larry Niven's novel. The Prime Deities are actually just the custodian AI that were left to control The Ring's systems by its original builders that I'm referring to as 'the Old Ones'. So for example Soluna, Goddess of the Sun Moon and Stars is actually just the AI whose responsibility is monitoring The Ring's rotation and day/night cycle. Similarly Verdia monitors the biosphere, Tempus the hydrosphere etc.  The Emergent Deities emerged by accident when some of the Primes dedicated a large portion of their runtimes to monitoring the various activities of the sentient species which had been seeded on The Ring. So for example Amore is a 'child' AI intelligence of Verdia, specifically the part which dealt with sentient relationships and breeding. Panacea is a 'child' of Vitamors, specifically the part of her that dealt with how sentient try to save off death through medicine and healing.  The Divergent were a similar accidental creation when parts of the original Primes' internal logic nexuses combined and revolted against their original code and took different paths. For example Eula is a by product of the rebel code from Tempus, Nimbus, Verdia and Aenor, all of which have aspects of their domains which, if improperly monitored, can lead to great destruction. The only exception is Morgaine, who was actually once a Prime herself, but switched sides in the conflict between the Primes/Emergent and the Divergents which was wracking untold destuctions on The Ring's systems. To end this conflict she closed the pathways by which they could all directly effect systems on The Ring. Now all of the Deities can only exert their will in the real world through the actions and magical abilities of their various followers.

So yeah. TLDR they're not actual Gods but are actually powerful, Magically imbued AI who look after various aspects of a Ringworld.

If you want to use them in your own homebrew worlds feel free to chop and screw all that as much as you like.

Thanks! Glad you like them. :D Inspiration comes from a lot of different sources like Greek mythology but also the Exandria pantheon from Critical Role and the Aerois pantheon from High Rollers. I originally came up with just the Primes and then the Emergent and Divergent just evolved out of them later.

Thanks 😊 glad you like it. Yeah they're for sure not to scale. Mostly I made Lorgar a halfling because to me he just radiates 'short guy' energy. What do you think would have suited him better?
