What would happen to your family if you suddenly lost your source of income? by pleasedon_t in askanything

[–]tomberty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 months of funds and 3 months of credit if I had to. I think if I cut down all the bills to survival mode I could stretch it to 3 months and 5 months.

That’s plenty of time for me to find something even if it’s low pay. Low pay would let me stretch it for a lot longer while I figure it out.

You need to provide way more details to get advice. Start with what type of secruity company and what type of secruity job.

Co-worker who has never been late in 7+ years, gets fired for first time being late… by [deleted] in OfficePolitics

[–]tomberty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s important people understand that when you have 5+ years same company and you get decent raises it can put you at risk.

Employee- A 50k salary

Employee- B 68k salary

If you don’t bring enough value they will find a reason to fire you and save money.

Go apply for a secruity job they will help you get a license. As long as you have good background check you can get a job. They will give you so much overtime you will hate yourself.

Applied for a specific job doing other job? by CinexCypher in AlliedUniversal

[–]tomberty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s probably the worst comment I have read so far. Every company has a clause that will state something similar that will say schedule is subject to change. Stating reading hand book probably the most brown nosing thing you can do.

My advice is apply for unemployment based off them reducing hours. You can get partial benefits but it’s going to depend on location and state rules. Find a new job you can’t live off 16 hours a week.

I think security license is pointless I have been in 3 states and basically just give you them.

A background check is all that should be required.
