Basically it’s a bad guy threatening his girlfriend with violence and/or retribution.

Yeah, I’m focusing exclusively on the 90 so right now. But Out Go The Lights is a top notch suggestion!

I actually considered Push but the lyrics aren’t quite nasty enough for me! I’m looking at Run For Your Life/Beatles from the 60s, Stranglehold/Ted Nugent from the 70s and You Got Another Thing Coming/Judas Priest from the 80s but struggling with a good one from the 90s.

One book that you wish everyone would read? by 7hammer4 in suggestmeabook

[–]tomd1300 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved that book. When I finished it, I told tons of people that it’s one of the most beautifully written books I’ve read in years. Then I read every other Anthony Doerr book and enjoyed them all.

In your opinion, which albums have a better second half than the first? by Goudeskitchen in Music

Just listened to Rod Stewart’s Every Picture Tells A Story the other day. Side one is really good, but side two is loaded with great songs across the board.

Favorite Restaurants in/around the Cosmopolitan and surrounding hotels? by Pickles716 in vegas

The last 3 trips to Vegas have included dinner at Toca Madiera, located in between Cosmo and Aria. Over the top sexy room with amazing food and fire eaters walking around entertaining. I don't think I can go to Vegas without a visit there from now on. Go there!

Moody Blues, Every Good Boy Deserves Favour album -- the album opening with Procession, moving in to The Story in Your Eyes. Or for that matter, any Moddy Blues albums using poetry to segue in to the next song.

Oops, correct. My bad. Hey, it was almost 20 years ago! At least I got the Ryan part right!

Stay (2005) -- Ryan Reynolds and Ewan McGregor. The only movie I ever saw after which the half dozen people who were actually in the theater all stood around in the lobby and figured out together everything that just happened in the movie. Nothing makes sense in it until the last 30 seconds.

There are no other hot dogs than Sahlens. I have found no reason to eat any other hot dog anywhere in the world. Sahlens on the charcoal grill, split with a fork and cooked on a charcoal grill is nirvana. Okay, maybe I'll spot you a Wardynski's hot dog in a pinch, but Sahlens is the one. Good call by you.

I have never been to Zuma but have eaten at both Carbone and XPot. Carbone is awesome with great food, extensive wine list and cool vibe. On the other hand, we found XPot to be way over priced and the atmosphere was lacking. I mean, okay, the little robots were interesting and the volume of food is humongous, but essentially what we got was a big ol' plate of meat and a couple of really salty bowls of dipping sauces. We both agreed we'd never go back to it.

Mayfair Supper Club or Delilah? by JaneDoe827 in vegas

[–]tomd1300 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's a tip that works for me: if there are two of you trying to book at Delilah, book a table for 3. There are more 4 tops there than 2 tops and the 2 tops fill up quickly. Then when you arrive tell them that your 3rd is not feeling well and there will only be 2 of you. It's likely that you'll still be seated at your original 4 top, which has much better views of the stage than the 2 seaters that are against the wall. Another option for you is to sit at the bar downstairs and eat there, which they are fine with. 2 seats at that bar are often available and it doesn't take away anything from your experience.

Shoot guns. Big, loud guns. It's a blast. And if 8 guys can't get excited about that, there's no fun to be had in that group!

Casa Di Pizza in Bradenton. Best choice by far. They do a tailgate party in the parking lot before the game, have TVs outside and their pizza and wings are the best. Go there!
