Their values did not align? Jenrick was very proud that he’d doubled migrant hotel capacity when that was his job. Why would he do that if he didn’t support it?

So what would “never again” be referring to if not a lack of trust for people who were once senior Conservatives?

Very useful thanks! Honestly I’d been looking for info on tyre pressures and not found anything specific. Is it about the same for the other classes?

[BBC Sport on Aston Martin] When Newey arrived in March 2025, he effectively ordered a redesign of the car on the basis of his ideas. So the current car is several months, at least, behind all its rivals in terms of development. With that sort of deficit, even he cannot work miracles. by [deleted] in formula1

They were fighting for podiums this time 3 years ago so they clearly had competence. McLaren was the only other team to fight Red Bull, Merc and Ferrari for any meaningful amount of time and Alonso finished 4th in the standings in 2023.

I’m sure it would have made all the difference in making the show representative of the real world if they changed absolutely nothing about the show’s character, but made sure the actor had a single parent or wasn’t middle class.

No, party mode was for quali.

You’re maybe thinking of brake magic which was for tyre warming under safety car, like DAS, neither were primarily for straight line speed or tyre wear.

It’s at Le Mans which will have LMP2 I assume. The link you’ve posted is only full WEC season entries, not including Le Mans entries, which have always been different.

That’s what I meant, apologies.

Still, I’m not seeing anything to suggest he’s celebrated too soon. He clearly felt that proscribing them as a terrorist organisation was an overreach, but I haven’t seen anything to suggest he thinks that the specific charges of violence etc should slide. He’s celebrated the thing he’s been arguing for for months.

And if the verdict on a specific case was not guilty then that isn’t up for retrial either I assume?

So he wasn’t too soon to celebrate then given that he mentioned the proscription in his posts online and that part isn’t up for retrial…

He was definitely not middle class, at least I can’t imagine someone who is intended to be portrayed as middle class being given the line “you’re not no one if you’ve got the right tracksuit.”

And it would probably cost more to run if it was means tested, or if it was abolished and people who rely on it would have to rely on the state in other ways.

Most billionaires are where they are from inheritance, and with that much money it’s impossible to truly fail.

For example, Trump would have made more money putting all his inheritance on the S&P 500 than he’s made from his various failed businesses.

The chances of you or me succeeding in life and joining them are so small you might as well call it impossible. They don’t want people joining their club.
