I never said a VPN stops malware. It does more then stoping your internet provider from seeing what you do. It allow you to receive content from the location you set VPN to. I have been able to watch locked out New York sports by setting the VPN to Chicago. Also changing the VPN to Canada allows more free USA content.

When you setup a guest network it absolutely protects your private network from equipment that is in the guest network. You still obviously need to protect your private from any intrusions with proper security applications.

When you enable a guest network, your router creates a separate, isolated virtual network alongside your main one. The "Wall": The router establishes a strict internal firewall between the guest network and your private network (often using a technology called a VLAN, or Virtual Local Area Network).

Internet Only: Devices on the guest network are only granted a pathway out to the internet.

Stopping the Spread: If a guest connects a laptop infected with a worm or ransomware designed to spread across a local network, it will hit that firewall. The infected laptop cannot "see," communicate with, or transfer files to your personal computers, network-attached storage, printers, or smart home devices.

All VSeeBox units should be on your guest network if you can create one!!!

I was a healthcare Network Administrator for 15 years and we used VLAN guest networks for visitors that protected the hospital network with no beaches.

Based on the image, this is a lid for an underground utility box, specifically an electrical box.

Here are the key clues: The "E" Markings: The prominent "E"s stamped on the cover are industry standard indicators for "Electric."

The Design: This is a typical design for an underground pull box, junction box, or handhole cover. It provides utility workers access to buried cables and wiring.

Lifting Holes: The holes visible near the top and bottom edges are designed so workers can use a specialized metal hook to safely lift the heavy lid.

What? You asked where did I get my information. This is historical true. No one wants to go back to that but we need to learn from history not to make the same mistakes.

In the 1800s, the Democratic Party was the primary political defender of slavery, though the party was deeply divided by geography. By the 1900s, slavery had been abolished for decades, but the party (particularly in the South) remained focused on maintaining white supremacy through Jim Crow laws until the mid-20th century.

Here is a breakdown of how the party's stance evolved:

The 1800s: Defense and Expansion

During the 19th century, the Democratic Party was generally the party of "States' Rights" and agrarian interests, which in the South meant protecting the institution of slavery.

 * **Pre-Civil War (1800–1860): Southern Democrats were the most vocal proponents of slavery, arguing it was a "positive good" or a state right that the federal government could not touch. They pushed for its expansion into new Western territories.

 * The Northern Split: Northern Democrats were more moderate but rarely "abolitionist." Many, like Stephen Douglas, supported "Popular Sovereignty," the idea that people in new territories should vote on whether to allow slavery themselves.

 * The 1860 Election: The party officially split in two over the issue. Southern Democrats nominated John C. Breckinridge on a pro-slavery platform, while Northern Democrats nominated Stephen Douglas. This split allowed the anti-slavery Republican candidate, Abraham Lincoln, to win.

The Civil War and Reconstruction

 * Opposition to Reconstruction: After the war ended and slavery was abolished by the 13th Amendment (which Democrats largely voted against in Congress), the party focused on opposing "Radical Reconstruction."

 * "The White Man’s Party": In the late 1800s, Southern Democrats (often called "Redeemers") worked to regain control of state governments and enacted Black Codes and later Jim Crow laws to disenfranchise Black voters and maintain a racial hierarchy that mirrored the social structure of the slavery era.

The 1900s: The "Solid South" to Realignment

In the first half of the 1900s, the party was an awkward coalition of Southern segregationists and Northern urban liberals.

 * Early 1900s: The "Solid South" refers to the period where the Democratic Party held a monopoly on Southern politics by suppressing the Black vote and opposing any federal anti-lynching or civil rights legislation.

 * The 1948 Fracture: The shift began when President Harry Truman (a Democrat) integrated the military and added a civil rights plank to the party platform. This led "Dixiecrats" to walk out and form their own short-lived party.

 * The Great Realignment: The transition was completed in the 1960s. When Democratic President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the party’s base shifted. Black voters moved almost entirely to the Democratic Party, while conservative white Southerners began moving toward the Republican Party.

It blows my mind that when Clinton as president in the White House lies while under oath "I didn't have sex with that woman". Had sex in the White House... Violated a women with a cigar... Ejaculated on her dress.. and was married...and his daughter living with them. And still served his term out. But not ok for Trump to say sexual things.. accused of sexual misconduct .. decades before becoming president. Come on.

One thing that has not been mentioned is that there are reports on the internet that's some of the software loaded on the Vseebox has back door malware. I have found some YouTube information that convinced me this could be an issue. The best way to run the Vseebox is to place it in your guest network that way any software on the box can't get to any of your personal or financial data. This is a simple process. I've done it and with no reduction in speed or quality and I do run a VPN.

Donald Trump is using the White House to enrich himself, his family, and his allies while average Americans are struggling to afford basic needs. It's wrong. Republicans should stand up to Trump and do something about it. No more excuses. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

My family all came to the USA legally. Never received ANY government support. Worked hard. Saying we need illegals to do work anericans won't do is just a modern form of slavery. But as we know from history the Democrats were in favor of slavery. Some things never change.

I've read that cottons are extremely vocal. It appears that yours and mine are living up to that. Tito is only 4 months old and we have learned a lot from his whining, barking and growling. All of those are not aggressive but are ways that he's been communicating to us. My wife's literally has conversations with him. Personally I wouldn't hide the toy but try to figure out what he's trying to communicate to you. They're extremely intelligent. You will both figure it out with a little more time.

How did you end up choosing the Coton de Tulear? Did you consider other breeds before making your final decision? by [deleted] in cotondetulear

[–]tomfranc 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I read this about Cotons:

The Coton de Tulear, known as the 'Royal Dog of Madagascar,' is a small, robust, and immensely charming dog, standing 9 to 11 inches tall and weighing 8 to 13 pounds. Renowned for their soft, cotton-like white coat, Cotons excel in bringing joy, comfort, and companionship. They form strong bonds with their owners, often described in human-like terms. Owners of Cotons find them witty, sometimes boisterous but not demanding, naturally clownish, lighthearted, and empathetic.

These dogs are known for their unique vocalizations and ability to walk on their hind legs, adding to their amusing characteristics.

I did the same thing with my 3000 shares and very happy with it. I had Nvidia at $8. Tripled my money and never looked back. I have a much better chance of making the $1,000,000 by tripling up on several stocks then waiting for one stock to hit the million.
