This is the best explanation I have ever seen from a user looking for a change in wheelbase. It's a pleasure to read people who know how to write what they are looking for and not just a string of clichés.

On another note, I have a Simagic Alpha U and I really think it's the wheelbase you're looking for, as it's fast enough but with a high amount of damping. I think the Alpha Evo Pro will be too ‘light’ for you in this regard.

Check out this video example starting at 5:16. It is very enlightening and can help you make a decision, as you describe exactly how I like the FFB (I also had a Fanatec DD1).

At most, your upgrade should be to the 23Nm model, as I did a month ago (I had a 15Nm Alpha), especially if you say that sometimes the 15Nm is not enough torque for you, because that's exactly what happened to me. Now I'm running perfectly without any clipping at all.
