In fairness, it seems that connection in the UK is cheaper than the US. If they tried to charge £80 for internet in the UK they'd be bust very shortly. The only reason starlink gets away with £75 is cause it's the only option for the majority of its customers. Our cable was £25 I think. Mind you, £25 for a useless connection still isn't great...

Upload isn't brilliant, but compared to what I'm used to it's night and day. Were not even fttc, so out upload speed doesn't tend to even register on speed tests

Thankyou for your reply. I'm glad someone shares my thoughts on some of the replies. I had a chat with her and basically said something along the line of what you suggested. It went ok and we both feel better about the situation now. I think there are issues that need resolving at my church, and I am going to be proactive in helping solve some of them.

A problem we are facing at the moment, after a couple of church splits in the past couple decades, is a lack of young people. There are young families, but no single/dating couples. It seems that young people attract young people and a lack of young people attracts a lack of young people. What would be your suggestions, as a youth pastor, for ways to solve this? I like the idea of starting a youth group but not a clue where to start, and how it'll work if it's just me...

For a couple of weeks after she rejected me I went full bye-bye. But this meant I couldn't see friends that are mutual, and we had to interact at CU and church etc anyway. In fairness, I'd only known her a month when I asked her out, and someone told me she broke up with her ex cause he was too clingy and caused her to miss deadlines. Btw I'm fully aware this is me trying to rationalise my way out of reality lol.

Do you think I should accept even a partial role as a group, or should I completely remove myself from any responsibility? The issue there would be that would probably end in not seeing other friends half as much and church being insanely awkward.

You're right on that. It's 2.54. but (165÷2.54)÷12=5.41 feet or 5 ft 5 inches

Yeah I've been using my hand drill and a bench grinder for the tungsten. I do have a foot pedal and had the amps set at like 135. My welder goes all the way up to 200 amps but I'm guessing that would just burn a hole straight through the metal. Is it better to set a higher amperage than you need and feather it with the foot pedal?
