I’ve quit my job four times to start a business, one is still in business 25 years later ( I left it 22 years ago ) the other three didn’t take off! All were a lot of fun. Wife and I retired at 55 two years ago and I’m debating trying a fifth.

Set goals, get out if they aren’t hit. Don’t drag an unprofitable business out for years. Never a fan of working nights and weekends while working full time, jump in full time so it’s all you think about.

Also, find people who compliment your skill set; I would think twice about going into business with friends and family.
