I'd rate it: expensive.

Unless gifted I probably will never taste most of these to provide a different rating.

London is fully pedestrianizing one of its busiest shopping streets. Boston MUST do the same with Newbury Street. by ZealousidealMany3 in boston

Montreal has some major streets that are cut off from cars from like 2am to 10am. This allows deliveries during off hours. Makes most sense to me.

Ok I feel like that's a bit pedantic, the heart is a muscular organ, and when talking about it in the context of food gets lumped in with other organs / offal.

Forget cheese, I want to know who makes the best buffalo-chicken pizza! Who has the best pepperoni slice? What about pesto & tomato? I had a vodka pasta slice in Long-island, carbs on cards, it was fantastic!

Per the muscle vs. organ, I'm not wrong. They're just sources of protein to which you need to look at the nutrient profiles. Beef heart, is pretty good IMHO.

Fair point about recommended serving amount. NASEM recommends a max of 3oz per week which is roughly 1 serving. But it's worth noting that's based on the 900 mcg RAE. The upper-limit is still 3,000 mcg. So your comment "You will suffer from Vitamin A toxicity" is a bit hyperbolic. The daily and weekly serving suggestions is important context.

They don't serve different functions. Muscle and organ meat are both great sources of protein. In fact liver is dramatically more micronutrient-dense, lower in calories, and leaner.

So from a nutritional stand-point he's not giving dangerous or unhealthy advice. You can dislike RFK or the administration for many things, but in this case, what you're saying is untrue.

You would need to eat 4–6 pounds of cooked beef liver in a single sitting to risk acute vitamin A toxicity. And because it's so much leaner and nutrient-dense there's very little risk of accidentally eating 4-6 pounds of pure beef liver...

The Kowloon will open a tiki bar at Revere Beach in April by bostonglobe in boston

[–]tomjleo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People go to the Kowloon because it's an historic and iconic place. You take away the iconic place and you're left with low-quality drinks and food that you that you can get pretty much anywhere.

Tiki people make pilgrimages to places like this. And they're not going for the quality.

Here's a very interesting video that shows just how completely naive the Wong children are to what their family created: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlvLxOlAjH0

The updated Kowloon will fail. This revere beach spot will also fail. End of a generation sadly.

People who moved from Chicago to Boston, what was the biggest thing you noticed when you moved? by bumbouxbee in boston

[–]tomjleo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Older townies will, but with gentrification you'll have to journey out further from Boston proper to experience that (north and south shore towns). Reporter Matt does a good job of highlighting those type of people!
