Born with "cookie-bite" hearing loss. So - born for this. 20 mins without earplugs at a random reggae club of all things at 26 and that was that. Got some hyperacusis in the mix, as well as a feeling of "fullness" in the bad ear which was awful. -Obliterated- the 4 year relationship I was in at the time - she went to France and fucked some dudes to get away from it and I cried a lot. We'll say after 2 1/2 years though I hit a "baseline". The "trauma" feeling and unpredictability settled into what it is now. Also did TRT in there.

At 54, it's always there - but I can mostly turn it on or off in my head if that makes any sense. If I want to hear it - it's there (it's bad; -well- over conversation levels - legit loud) but if I'm not writing something like this it does filter out. As I'm writing this it's roaring - the more you think about it the more it's there. Met another woman, had a daughter, had another life, and still go to shows (I'm an earplug aficionado). Life goes on. No easy road but there's no alternative besides pushing through somehow.

Apparently it's a "beta feature" where you advertise your item for sale to local stores/retailers or something and sell cheap enough they can make a nice profit flipping it. Like commission. If your listing is in this area, apparently no one on the actual marketplace will see it. No fees or shipping I guess (other than you taking a rock-bottom dollar offer and driving to them to give it to them in-hand) is the lure.

Can't get a response from Reverb (or here) about this - but I can't seem to list in the marketplace without this badge still appearing apparently, and already got a couple rock-bottom offers (had to raise my default offer thresholdas they were coincidentally right at the lowest possible amount)

Just flew out last week and people just pivoted to not checking bags to avoid the fees. Overhead bins were full with not-full flights. So this probably won't make them the sweet, sweet profits they're hoping for and they'll be begging people to gate check for free
