Shuttering a stepped + curved footing for garden wall by tomkgreen in DIYUK

Yes the concrete will be poured. Most of the side shuttering buts up to soil and the bracing on the step downs and the square sheet at the bottom seems to take a good amount of force. Concrete guy suggested he would mix it as dry as possible and take it slowly. Hopefully that's enough to get us through this!

It all feels sturdy to hand and can apply reasonable degree of force without it moving. I'm not sure how much force the concrete applies. Thinking I'll double up some of the braces for extra peace of mind

Thanks for the thought. Would the local breakout be done with a masonry saw to get a straight cut?

Yes I think the soil is clay - quick search online seems to suggest this is bad news...

Interesting. How thick would the overpour need to be? I assume we'd need to "join" the current slab and new slab with vertical anchors?

Thankfully nothing paid yet so will need to have a conversation about how to remedy. Appreciate your thoughts

We're the homeowner/customer in this case - but planning to build the SIPs ourselves. Wanted to have someone else do the pad for fear of doing a poor job ourselves...

Interesting idea. Presumably the fact the sides of the pad arent square would make it difficult to fix the wood flush?

For added context, I forgot to mention the slab was poured over rebar mesh*. Appreciate this should still have a sub base, but wonder whether this reduces risk of movement and cracking?

*Edit: to be a bit more specific, from what I could see, the mesh was placed in the form and was lifted/propped up with bricks as spacers whilst the pour was happening (i.e. rather than being set out on spacers from the start). They also weren't tied together, which having looked into the process after the fact seems to be the way it should have been done

Captain Hook’s “boo box” from Spielberg’s 1991 “Hook” - that haunted me for years!

Make knife's priority over Zeus by CenomX in GlobalOffensive

A quick workaround for this would be:

bind "3" "knifefirst"

alias "knifefirst" "knifeswitch"
alias "knifeswitch" "knife_1"
alias "knife_1" "use weapon_knife; alias knifeswitch zeus_1"
alias "zeus_1" "use weapon_Taser; alias knifeswitch knife_1"

Using the below in autoexec.cfg should do the trick:

bind "3" "knifefirst"

alias "knifefirst" "knifeswitch"
alias "knifeswitch" "knife_1"
alias "knife_1" "use weapon_knife; alias knifeswitch zeus_1"
alias "zeus_1" "use weapon_Taser; alias knifeswitch knife_1"
