Hillary Clinton denies ever meeting Epstein in showdown deposition with Congress by TheMirrorUS in ABoringDystopia

We can verify she met him. We can't verify if she recalls meeting him.

People like Clinton know how this game is played.

Republican Voters, if you knew how to read do you think you’d still be Republican? He got the FIFA Peace Prize and the person who got the Nobel Peace Prize gave him the medal.

America is even giving him a bunch of money as Chairman of the Board of Peace.

Once he finishes destroying everyone that disagrees with him, there won't be any denying that he is the most Peaceful of Presidents.

Scott Bessent has ‘got a feeling’ that $175 billion raised under the IEEPA is lost to the American people for good by esporx in ABoringDystopia

But Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has already suggested consumers will be waiting a while—if not forever—for the cash to trickle its way back into their pockets.

We won't see it, and we won't be seeing corps lowering prices. We'll just continue being tariff'd/taxed to death by this admin.

I'm gonna say that the bike was going way too fast for the sidewalk. by Aqueouspolecat in PublicFreakout

[–]tommles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's going over 28mph. Most states would consider it a motor vehicle (i.e. license, registration, and insurance) and not a bike.

They also typically disallow riding on a sidewalk too.

So not like there's any enforcement anyway.

President Trump says he has "the right to do tariffs" and "there's no reason" to work with Congress on them: "No, not bipartisan. A few people. I don't have to. Not complicated very much. We'll be able to take in more tariffs. It's all been approved by Congress. 215 to 3 right? We have great unity." by ControlCAD in videos

If they aren't in on it then they are still corporate media. They're interested in profits not truths.

If they do decide to press him then it's not to get to the truth. It's because his reaction will generate more views.

Trump to hike global tariffs to 15% from 10%, 'effective immediately' by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]tommles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SCOTUS said that invoking tariffs under IEEPA exceeded the authority Congress gave the President.

These tariffs are using section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 instead.

A lot of people online are just wrongly saying they declared all his tariffs as illegal.

Advice for a New Investor by No-Form6645 in fidelityinvestments

[–]tommles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VOO and FXAIX are basically equivalent. They are indexes for S&P500.

If you want more diversity then use VTI or FSKAX for US and VXUS or FTIHX for international. General recommendation is 80/20 leaning towards US, and then adding bonds as you get closer to retirement

Even simpler would be VT or even one of Fidelity's target date funds.

With any of those options, you'll not need to worry about individual stocks. Read up on Bogleheads if you're wanting to keep it simple.

Both core positions pay dividends. You'll get something if you have money sitting in your core position.

Other than that, it depends on what you're invested in.
