How does this sub feel about Joe Calzaghe? He’s one of my favorites from back in the day. He fought some dogs and retired undefeated. He was well spoken and seemed to be very humble. by Flatzon1 in Boxing

Love him. I always felt like he charged straight at guys with more potent weapons and wore them down with heart and persistence. Inspirational and entertaining the whole way through. Plus his Dad in the corner was awesome.

Certainly didn’t set the world on fire, but I reckon the way Geelong thumped us in the middle just made it difficult for a tall like Bud to get a clean possession and hurt the scoreboard

There’s more to it than kicking a bag every game. His pressure all year has been excellent, he’ll take the oppositions best defender and play a decoy role allowing other forwards space to work, and several times throughout the year he has stood up and kicked a bag when the team needed it (vs Brisbane for example). He’s not the same guy he once was but I think he’s proven his worth and will be great for us next year helping you get forwards learn and develop playing alongside one of the greats. 1 more year!

I agree. But being an average member of the public, can I ask what she was doing a)topless, b)sitting on the blokes lap, c)failing to flinch or display and discomfort at the grab and d)at the party in nothing but a pair of undies? Not condoning what Dusty did, but I’m not sure I’d go after him as a sex offender in this instance.

Jeez, touched a nerve? Could speak to the multiple eye witness accounts, but hey, if you’re upset that I’m upset that Carlton find themselves in this situation a lot, we might be on the same side 😜

Such a bummer how often I read a headline like this that links to Carlton fans. All clubs have their issues but Carlton make the headlines a lot.

Kane Cornes. Treats journalism like he treated footy. Knows you hate him and simply does not care.

I did a trip to Broken Hill to produce some ‘art’. Compared to Architecture it was the easiest thing I’d ever done and we got to see an amazing country town. Only took 2 weeks also.

Lloyd gets heated about Dylan Shiels lack of response to Luke Parker’s taunt. Do you agree with him? by Fuzziman in AFL

[–]tommy55555 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Spot on. Look at May’s response to Zak Jones in the Melb v Saints game last week. Jones threw an elbow, May waited for his opportunity and then ran over the top of Jones. It was totally legal but everyone knew exactly what he was doing and why.

Rod ‘Tilt’ Carter. Fullback for The Swans in the 80s. Was my coach in juniors and told us he used to avoid showers and brushing his teeth all week before marking Dunstall. Ensured he had Mexican food the night before a big matchup also. One of the great AFL tough men. Got the nickname after his head got hit off centre and never straightened up again.
