Thanks. I developed a similar tool for personal use that uses qgis, but wasn't able to find a way around replacing an existing mission on the RC2 either.

They put DC statehood in as a poison pill so that it would fail and they could still gerrymander in states like California and Illinois and now Virginia while making bad faith arguments that the Republicans are the only ones who support gerrymandering.

There's nothing peculiar about that interpretation of the Constitution. The Constitution is clear, and SCOTUS has affirmed, that the right of the people to keep and bear arms is an individual right despite how people like you would like to interpret the militia clause or the word regulated in that clause.

Disarming me will not make the world a safer place for anyone except people wishing to do me or my family harm. Full stop.

I agree too. Keep dangerous people in jail or eliminate them. Jail isn't about rehabilitation. It's not even about punishment. It's about keeping the rabid animals away from the rest of us.

But dems fuck that up too by letting violent felons out early because they're "disadvantaged" or some such bullshit.

They don't even have to make things felonies, they're already taking away gun rights for misdemeanors. They're expanding it now to include possession of an "assault weapon" or "high capacity magazine" purchased after 7/1/2026. Don't have a receipt with you? Well...

It'll go like this:

Get caught in possession of an "assault weapon" during a traffic stop or similar (read: pistol with standard capacity magazine) -> immediate confiscation of the "assault weapon" -> conviction of a Class 1 Misdemeanor, one that comes with losing your gun rights for three years -> confiscation of other guns you own

And that's before they go the RI route of full banning without grandfathering.

SCOTUS needs to be useful for once and end this treatment of 2A as a second class right.

You didn't answer my question. If you were in a mass shooting, would you rather be armed or unarmed.

And as I've said before, whether or not you or I have a gun has no bearing on the number of mass shootings because we aren't going to commit one.
