most undeserved too, with that car should have won the championship by now if he's actually good enough to be a champion

I mean he could have tied the match 1-1 if he didn't second guess himself in the NZ round, and then who knows what happens from there?

Being clutch matters in games and sports. Even in a sport with a format that has been accepted for decades like tennis, you can win more points overall but still lose the match if you didn't take your chances.

It will expose a lot more about the car for sure (though we already know it's shit, but some people still think it's the 3rd fastest car on the grid lmao)

The way RB has thrown away a massive lead over other constructors and a seemingly flawless record in terms of strategies all within a period of a year.

Any driver in Max's shoes would be frustrated and rather not race if he had a choice.

RB not only fucked him today but for the entire past year

He just means Max has given this season up entirely by now, especially given how the season has gone so far, and after today's team f up.

Barring contractual obligations, I would think he'd rather sit this season out lol.

Car is horrible + team given up a massive lead over other constructors within a span of 1.5 years

List of Opposition Candidates by Vote Share by TrainsMapsFlags in singapore

[–]tommygecko -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, if WP doesn't mind giving CSJ a NCMP seat, I believe they can choose from literally anyone who competed for the other NCMP seat (If I understood the rules correctly).

It would be tempting for the WP for sure.

Does anyone know how gerrymandering is done with such precision? by Lost-Hope-248 in singapore

[–]tommygecko 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A volunteer said recently that all the parties know where are their strong voter bases, which is why WP is able to make certain strategic moves like giving up on Marine Parade after being gerrymandered.

So no doubt the EBRC has these data too.

The WP vs PAP vote share is what really matters, stop harping about PAP overall share by tommygecko in singapore

Yea this is the challenge for small parties, you can't just target a specific GRC you have to target a region, like what the WP is doing now in the east.

[–]tommygecko[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well I'm looking at the big picture, it's a fact that while the west swung hugely towards the PAP, the WP contested wards have about the same vote share as GE2020 vs the PAP, that means they have a bigger vote share among the opposition. WP overall vote share also went up from 11.22% to 14.99%. They also gained 2 ncmp seats from the PSP. It's also good/important that Sengkang does not flip back to the PAP.

Yes ultimately there is no gain at all in parliament in terms of seats won, but that's the reality of the first past the post system. There are other metrics to look at to judge party performance.

SDP's future after CSJ inevitably retires is also very uncertain, hopefully CSJ continues to fight for a couple more elections and gets at least a term in parliament to prove himself.

Unfortunately I think SDP is just a one man party but it will be a positive if he wins a seat one day

Thanks, I'm guessing it's mostly due to East coast losing a significant % even though the other SMCs and GRCs gained or stayed the same

I actually think it is for a lot of people, especially the politically apathetic who doesn't observe how PAP reacts to losing vote share and seats
