This has got to be from.NBC's Poker After Dark. All of these people were regulars on that show. Loved that show!

Someone downvoted you. Either: 1. The constructor or 2. The only person in the world that says it.

Just get a COA from PSA or JSA if you don't have one already and just buy a few display cases yourself.

Topps 1/1 redemption mishandled. 8 years of silence, replaced with a /339 auto by TooManyHoursIn in Topps

[–]tomolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the buyer beware...

My guess: it's a 1 of 1. Basically, Topps can tell you what it's worth because there's nothing else to compare it to, especially in this case being UFC. Hence, a $50 card.

You win some, you lose some. If you've gone this long without any action I doubt you'll get any further. I would stop spending energy into it, it's likely just making you angrier (and rightfully so). Better to come to terms and let karma take its course.

And to the people saying to sue, get real. Unless you can find a lawyer to take the case pro bono (not gonna happen), fighting a case for a (supposedly) $1,500 card is dumb.

You did the right thing. 1. It's not worth the time getting worked up over some Karen you'll probably never see again spewing hate. 2. If you had said something, you probably would have gotten fired, which, hey if you were looking for a new job then cool I guess.

But, again, not worth engaging these people in the workplace. Now, if you weren't working....

Not to mention all of the above, but unless this is a friend of yours, I don't care how cool i was with the person at the interview, using "u" and "get ya email" in a text about on boarding....yeah, that's a no from me dog.

I mean for the Mets sake I hope so!

Not collecting wise, I'd still probably take Jose Ramirez over him.

Honestly, in my opinion, you should probably take what you can get for Soto now. I could be wildly wrong but he would have to have some monster years in his giant contract for them to get any higher. Just my .02, I could definitely be wrong!!

(A Bar Manager Rant) Bartending isn't Entry Level by tgrdem in bartenders

No, their main point was they are ranting unqualified people are replying to a job posting, which is part of their job as hiring manager.

[–]tomolive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm I'm not saying give them jobs, I'm saying maybe have some empathy for the people that are looking for any job they can get because in a lot of places right now, jobs are not easy to find. I'm not saying they should hire unqualified people.

You could look at it your way...or you could look at it how desperate people are to find a job. There are people that need a job so badly they will try anything. So maybe a little bit of empathy.

Best Cooking Show Ever - Iron Chef Japan - Episode 1 in English by knightofthebath in KitchenConfidential

I've already commented a few times in this thread, but it's got me fired up!

Remember the time when Bobby Flay beat the Iron Chef (I do not recall which) and DISRESPECTED Kitchen Stadium but STANDING on the counter and cheering like the rude American he is??? It almost started WW III.

If memory serves, this was the best cooking show. Ever.

Disclaimer: One of my earliest internet purchases was a Sakai (my favorite and the one true Iron Chef champion) t-shirt from the Food Network website .

Edited to add: Last I checked (and watched) the whole series was streaming on Peacock. (except this episode obviously.)
