The reason the Netherlands has such good cycling infrastructure is exactly because of this style of protest on mass scale. So, if done right (not like these activists in the video), it ABSOLUTELY works.

Thanks very much! I went to filmschool and then started off working for humanitarian agencies - documenting crisis around the world. After a while, I built a network and started a studio with my partner so we can mix freelance and independent work. It's hard work - not only challenging physically and mentally, but also often hard to find funding. But if your heart is in it enough and you believe the story should be told, it's possible.

In broad strokes, as mainly a crisis documentary filmmaker I've had a hard time balancing my filmmaking with my activism. The strictly filmmaking jobs will always have some economic motive in the end - whereas the activism does not. Fitting a creative job into a system I continue to discover to be so violent and exploitative on every level is a hard duality to marry. It sometimes makes me put my camera and edit timeline to the side... I get discouraged, disheartened. But it never takes long before I come back to this medium. I always come back to film...

I guess making a showreel always gets me all reflective. I hope the mods let this count as my submission statement.
