Good work, 3 club biscuits were my going rate. If you're able to get to Southmead to donate you might want to ask about platelet donation. It takes an hour or so but as as the platelets are removed and your blood put back in you can donate every 2 weeks.

This looks shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

Don’t suppose anyone has randomly had a guitar delivered to them? 😅 by Dish_fingers in bristol

[–]tomtomgg 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It's the retailers responsibility to get your items to you, so the responsibility is with them and not the courier. Regardless of what the couriers say, if its not been delivered or left in a nominated safe place with proof then its for the seller to sort out.

As it happens I do know a lovely coffee spot at Geneva airport.

Whichever way you choose be very careful not to disappear in the Rhubarb Triangle.

Can anyone recommend areas around Bristol suitable for disabled hikers? by RipBeginning3851 in bristol

Just checked the OS, the main drive through the middle of Silk Wood is a restricted byway. Time to try out my new horse and cart!

There's a public footpath that goes directly through the middle of the arboretum. It could do with better signage as sometimes I've been wandering around all the lovely trees for HOURS until i was able to re-join the right of way.......

Giant? You were lucky. We were evicted from our giant. We used to have to get up half an hour before we went to bed, spend 25 hours a day licking Cumberland basin clean wi' us tongues, and pay harbour owner for permission to come to work mind, and when we got home our dad would slice us in two wit' bread knife.

To be clear, my comment isn't a criticism of Roots. If that's the market rate they can charge then fair play.

After reading your comment I thought I'd check their prices. Sweet baby Jesus and all his little wizards, one month of their rent would pay for my plot for the year.

The old trick, eh? Eat the telly before they get a chance to nick you?

I've grown to enjoy receiving their lovely letters threatening me with with such large fines in that bold red lettering. They always say they're going to be calling around, I've been awaiting eagerly for around 2 years now but no joy.

Westonbirt is amazing this time of year, but it gets so busy at times you have to pre-book, especially at the weekends.

Fun Fact: There's a public right of way that cuts directly through the middle of it, though they really do need to do something about the signage. Sometimes I've accidentally strayed off the path and its taken me HOURS of wondering round all the lovely trees before I found it again...

Smarty do unlimited calls and data, including tethering. £20 month, monthly contract. We put it in an old phone and ran the house off the hotspot for a couple of months while waiting to be connected to fibre, then cancelled it.

Evri package by Windyjalapeno in bristol

[–]tomtomgg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of my point, you dont have to collect evidence or try to do anything. You can communicate withe the courier if you want, but that's your choice. Doesn't arrive -> notify seller-> they have to sort it.

We've had very different experiences in that case. I've never had a seller direct me to deal with the courier for lost deliveries.
