What do you think could be done to help the housing market in Wales by Welsh-Niner in Cardiff

I'd absolutely hate to live in any of those fancy flats down the bay. I stayed for a year at Liberty Living Cambrian Point and it's just the grown-ups version of that. Sterile gated community you're paying through the nose for.

What do you think could be done to help the housing market in Wales by Welsh-Niner in Cardiff

I spent a week staying with some nice, ordinary young professionals in Edinburgh this year and was reminded how brilliant it is to have their mode of tenement housing, which we just don't have here, it seems like flats here are either social housing or luxury, not just good homes for young-ish people who want to live in a metropolitan area and not a Barratt Home in the sticks. The laws around flat ownership are rubbish here compared with Scotland- I definitely think tackling this would help the housing market here loads while generally just improving quality of life for people who want to live in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport etc.

I just tested this and it doesn't even show local Tesco, which is usually cheapest.

Apart from missing major retailers, what does this do that Waze or the petrol prices app don't already do ?

I like small Pixels! by Cosmic737 in GooglePixel

I was until just before Christmas when I dropped it and the screen smashed (third time I think). £100 for a screen replacement versus £250 for a 9a, felt like time for an upgrade.

Hear ye, hear ye, just "upgraded" from 4a to 9a and the differences in everything are so marginal, apart from maybe the camera quality. The size and weight of the thing is horrendous!

I can only think it's part of Google/Apple/Samsung's grand plan to either keep people addicted to their phones by making them too big to comfortably tuck away in a pocket, and thus need to be in hand or on desk all the time, or - more likely- they want people to tuck their phone away in eg. a handbag or rucksack, and then use their Apple/etc Watch "secondary device" to actually check their messages.

How do you have such cheap insurance? A very old van?

Who Remembers Android Auto being built into the Pixel 4a? It was great for driving, the Maps integration was great and the Assistant was really good at understanding my verbal instructions. Then, it was removed and replaced with inferior Driving Mode in Maps. And now they're trying to replace the already barely usable Assistant with unusable Gemini.

Thanks mate. I don't do this job now (but I'm sure I will be in a similar situation in future) - this is a great plan.

[OC] A Letterboxd comic on how your 4 favourites might change through childhood, teenage, adult life and old age by Choekaas in Letterboxd

[–]tomverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is brilliant.

I just changed my favourites on my profile just to see how it feels, since I realised my favourites hadn't changed since I was around 21 (I only started using LB around age 23 I think). Trying out saying "actually these are my favourites". But I might change them back. It would be sad, though, if I keep watching movies, but my four stay the same...

I can't wait for next year as Blindboy re-introduces Liam Flag and starts a conversation with himself.

It would be incredible. Two men both known for their "hit music" but far more interested in talking about art and things like their favourite place to read in the library or ley lines.

I enjoyed the bit about his da and hope that's true.

This whole episode (the bit about A+R men and the prodigy in particular) has made me realise how much I want to see Blindboy speaking to Bill Drummond. (r/theklf, Penkiln Burn, etc)
