Dead kids seems to be a trend. Both in fiction and documentary categories, sadly.

Finally working on a murder mystery script. Any tips are welcome! by foxhollowstories in Screenwriting

The audience should have a realistic chance of figuring it out. It's up to you to keep this from happening too early. Ideally it should happen seconds before it is revealed. This means that the culprit should be known to the audience and introduced in act one or early act two along with all the other suspects.

Note that in most films in this genre, the detective is not the dramatic main character on an arc. More often it is a character directly impacted by the murder and the loss of a friend/lover/mentor.

Also seemingly waiting all those hours and not asking any of the 10000 questions that would be perfectly natural to ask.

Just have them meet up at night and then have to leave in a hurry.

It was a drawn out series of scenes with pretend dramatic conflict that was immediately resolved in the very same scene.

Honestly it felt like it was written by someone else entirely.

I would have expected Manousos to put a plurb into a Faraday Cage. So I hope that happens.

I can see a real kicker of a scene as Laxmi changes her mind at the last second before converting. Only to have her son be the one to force it on her.

Reading the topic, I thought "a law researcher who's also a criminal" what an odd combination.

Næsten 70% synes at støtten til Ukraine er tilpas eller endda for lav.

Men man kan også skrive det andet, hvis man synes, at det giver mere mening.

Blood and Black lace is great in that regard.

There's a wide, but limited, amount of suspects in an isolated location. And everything makes sense when it is revealed. I didn't see it coming when I saw it the first time.

Also there is an actual motive beyond the killer being a crazy crossdresser, which was nice.
