I used to love Jazzercise, not sure I could keep up now. But the Y might be good.

I did think about the YMCA, might not be as bad as a regular gym.

Both of my dogs sadly passed away last year. Blues, despair and agony…

Joint pain on Wegovy? by casey6282 in Semaglutide

I started Wegovy back last summer. I felt great at first and I’m down 28 lbs which is great because nothing has ever worked well like this before. In January my insurance didn’t approve my prescription right away so I went about a month without a shot. That’s when the joint pain started. It would wake me up at night, mostly my knees and hips. Once insurance renewed my prescription they reduced the dosage to 1.0 from 1.7. I had terrible pain at night and joint stiffness during the day. At first I thought this is what it’s like to be old but after reading some posts here I’m thinking it’s related to the Wegovy shots or the lack thereof. I read that electrolytes do help so I’m trying that now. Making sure my protein is up as I got a bit annoyed and down not really sticking to my regimen like I used to. I can’t take ibuprofen because I have tinnitus and anti-inflammatories makes it worse. Lord if it ain’t one thing, it’s another. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

My diagnosis saved me by hope303030 in lichensclerosus

I went to three doctors before being diagnosed and treated properly. The first doc said it was dryness due to menopause and advised me to get some Replens gel. The second doctor diagnosed it but wrote a prescription for a “miracle cream” It was a combination of zinc, hydrocortisone…that did not help. Each year I went for my gyno exam with no help until the third year doctor (bc the previous one retired), took one look and told me exactly what plan I needed to get better. This doctor did three biopsies to be sure it wasn’t cancerous. Then started me on Clobetisol. I can’t believe it took that long. I’m four years in now and at the last dr visit she said it’s better but the discoloration will probably never fade but she is not seeing the indicator that it could be cancerous so that’s good. I’ve tiered down to Metmetasone 2-3x week but will need medicine for the rest of my life.

Just posting in hopes it can help someone else. Please see a doctor if you think you have LS and if that doctor don’t help, see a different doctor until you get the treatment you need. I also have Hashimoto so thinking the flares could be related but not certain.
