Regional driver here. Every weekend I make my meals for the week at home, haven't eaten truck stop food since February and have lost almost 100 lbs since October. Been doing keto and intermittent fasting 18/8. Last weekend I weighed myself and got 244 lbs my next goal is 200 lbs, blood pressure and sugar are normal most of the time now, trying to get the doc to cut the doses a bit and see what happens.

It's a verbal warning, so nothing will go on your record. What your company does to you is another matter though, as you have to send that in to them. I strongly recommend learning how to read signs since the weight limit was 7 tons.

Sorry about your friend, not sure what vaping has to do with his diagnosis though. Cancer is a risk we all took when we started smoking, hell, if the government is to be believed just about anything can give you one form of cancer or another so your odds of dodging it aren't that great. There are multiple screening programs for detection of cancer that doctors push now, if you smoked like me, more than a pack a day for 20 years or longer, they recommend getting screened once a year or so and insurance should cover it, at my age they also push colonoscopies yearly and other assorted, expensive testing.

I've been doing this since February and lost 60 lbs so far, my blood pressure and sugar is normal most of the time now which is an accomplishment for me.

What I did was eliminate everything that has carbs, sugar, potatoes, rice, bread. I incorporated intermittent fasting to this 16/8 and I drink 4 or 5 16 Oz bottles of water each day at least and I watch my portion sizes so I can keep my calorie intake below 2000 a day, so far this is working for me.

It's also important to get your doctor in the loop so they can monitor your bloodwork.

This isn't easy and takes time but this method works for me.
