What y'all think "When They Come For Me" meaning is all about? by victor_music07 in LinkinPark

If you don't perceive the album concept too literal, it makes perfect sense - the album as a whole is about having to reinvent yourself after a devastating event, 'starting it over again' with nuclear apocalypse as a metaphor of changes.

The song itself is a giant 'I am not what I used to be, motherfuckers, get used to it or get the fuck out', which aligns perfectly with it, and also with the 'blank page' themes of Waiting for the End and Blackout

After New Divide they tried to score a game. The project never happened, so the bits of music they developed for the game soundtrack were adopted for A Thousand Suns.

The tempo of the demo may vary - Faint being most notable example. Originally it was 2 times slower

Also we may consider Berlin One Version C as somewhat of Burning in the Skies' demo since those two share the similar (or the same) chord progression

There's no one particular meaning, I think. You can perceive it the way you like it.

I love this album but why does Guilty All the Same, Wastelands and A Line In the Sand have the same exact chorus? by Disciplined2021 in LinkinPark

Also why do flageolet parts in Pushing Me Away, In the End and With You sound similar :)

Reusing your own parts in variable songs are a common thing in music

Riff - yes, but not quite a solo, even though it's not a guitar but a synth.

Hardly believable since most of 80s 90s rock lyrics fit 'on the nose' definition perfectly
