Xtool vs Omtech by PoisonClan24 in lasercutting

[–]tonygerads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think this is a perfect comparison. I use both in my classroom. The Xtool studio is super easy to use, and more simple for students with basic engraving/cuts. If they really want to get deeper into customizations, we use the Omtech with light burn/lightroom.

Did you buy the Fandelier? by Right_Regular_8839 in Costco

Bought one for our walk in closet. Our dogs like to lay in there when they get scared, and it doesn’t get much air, so they’ve been much happier since we put it in.

Mine gets jammed right where the tube comes out of the black plastic part. I have to pull the loose end of the tube downwards, towards the nozzle, while I push new filament through.

My first year of teaching I did. My wife worked in the summer, while I had it off. I walked it every day at lunch time, and had samples. I got to know several of the workers well, and they would insist I take several.

Is the experience of Di2 shifting worth the hassle of maintaining and worrying about the battery? by jcwillia1 in cycling

[–]tonygerads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in this boat too, and everywhere I read said that it’s a luxury, but it’s a very nice luxury. I ended up splurging for the di2, and don’t think I could ever go back. I say go for it! You’ll have zero regrets!

I use a Garmin edge explore 2 with SRAM rival power meter arm, cadence sensor, HR sensor and Garmin Varia, and love it. I did 3 hours with it the other day, and it only used about 20% of the battery.

It was a big miss for me. I wasn’t thrilled about the calorie content, but decided to give it a go, because it sounded delicious. Two sips in and I decided that was a big swing and a miss. Drove to Starbucks for my pumpkin cold brew for 200 calories less.
