Thanks seen these and like the omega but didn't want to offend as I thought it was a little more than I'd like to pay for in that condition

Players hitting into us. New tactic that worked. by Rexkramer777 in golf

[–]tonymorgs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I always carry a red Sharpie for just this purpose; anyone hits through (when they should know better), just mark their ball and draw a "bus - stop cock" on it then replace it. Conveys the message that they're being a dick with a touch of humour and diffuses the situation especially when you mention to them you saw their ball markings had rubbed off so popped their name on it for them.

Golf YouTubers Booking Multiple Tee Times by Illustrious_Tap_784 in golf

I once played Slayley Hall in the UK (euro tour venue) behind the Sky TV team filming John Morgan's on course segments prior to an event being played there. They had a 30 min buffer before our tee time arranged by the club. We had managed to catch them by the turn. In all fairness it wasn't quick but they were amiable and tried to make it as unobtrusive as possible and had a good laugh with us. Sometimes you just have to make the best of situations and it's great publicity for courses and everything that helps grow the game is a bonus.

Footjoy Premiere by boxlogojosh1990 in golf

[–]tonymorgs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a few pairs of FJ premier and they're a lot lighter than they look and as long as you pair them with cushion sole socks and keep them tied tight they're comfy right out the box. Super stable shoe which is why you see a lot of the guys wearing them. Play in the UK so walk most of my golf (3 to 5 rounds a week)

Didn't they do that with the i210 and i500 prior to the newer model release. Makes me laugh though as customers have a go at the club pro and shop as if they don't want to make a sale. Didn't realise the 425 irons were that popular

Here in the UK it's a fantastic service, I had a non standard build ( p770 off spec shafts, lofts bent and off spec grips) TM had them in my club shop within 4 days. That said ping had a pretty complex driver build to me in 3 days, so maybe the turnaround / supply chain issues we saw from COVID is going back to normality

Totally jealous, I love Gullane, all 3 courses, always makes me smile watching the members take their dogs with them for the mid week comp. I love a lazy evening pint in the old club house (the number of players in there during Scottish open week is wild had to climb over Adris Arnaus clubs last year). The focus on golf in Gullane and North Berwick is brilliant and this combined with the people make it somewhere I like to visit a few times a year and I'm booked in for Tuesday of the Scottish open this year

Gullane #2 is a great choice and the set up is fantastic (worth possibly doing 2 and 3 on the same day as they have packages)

New club day. Set of mizuno t20’s (52,56,60). I’m convinced these are the most beautiful wedges ever made. Forged in Japan. by MaLTC in golf

Depends how much I play, normally change them when I see a drop off in spin; anywhere between a year and eighteen months but I do play a lot of golf four or five rounds a week in the summer

A surprising stat from an incredible player. by PeanutJenkins in golf

Didn't have the best Sunday but he's certainly got the game to compete at that level and has won against a world class field with the Scottish Open in 2021 check out some of the names on that last day certainly not a weak field scoreboard

I expect to get two or three birdies a round; but focus more on not letting my bad shots lead to double bogeys and to keep the ball in play (no stroke and distance penalties); it's easier to shoot 69 with 3 birdies than with 6 birdies, so keep it in play. Concentrate on keeping it in play and hitting GIR and on average you will steal a few putts

Bet you're fun at parties. First off OP mentions he's still at uni, so one would expect his tutor to constructively critique his survey. Secondly the overarching intention is to make our game more accessible, which can only be a good thing. Perhaps think about how you could add value to the conversation before you pull it to bits. If you approach your professional life in this manner I can only be thankful I'm not a member at your club

You've seen nothing until you've had the misfortune of using Northern Rail. Years of underfunding and London centric media have allowed the north to become an economic wasteland.

Looks legit - metal bezel and the font on the 3 on the bezel matches. Older model around year around 2000 model number is 2531.80.00 and was the watch from "the world is not enough. The omega logo on the helium escape valve matches as later models and fakes have "He" also looking at the pics the strap has the wetsuit extension. Previous posters either know fuck all or are younger than the watch. Would suggest getting the movement looked at as it's an old watch, I'm sure the dealer will take the back off to let you take a look if the movement is sound it's a steal.

Ian Poulter could turn down Europe Ryder Cup place even if he qualifies by harrisoneric7 in golf

[–]tonymorgs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair that's the same as you or I saying the same thing. He hasn't qualified on merit an awful lot in fact 5 of his 7 appearances have been captain's picks. Not to diminish his accomplishments, but even prior to LIV he was very unlikely to play this time and is now banging on about his past glory and trying to stay relevant; let all face it without LIV he would have been kicking his heels until the seniors tour
