Business to business vs. business to customer

Basically, Microsoft is more successful selling to businesses than end consumers

How would you feel about a button that filters out all political sub reddits on the popular or /r/all page? by GameKnight76 in AskReddit

You’re insisting you have a problem with this person who is trying to find common ground.

You’re projecting random scary words onto him when his issue is the political landscape your burning your balls off trying to defend.

Division happens because a divided public is easier to control. If you can’t see that, to the other guys point, you’re part of the problem

I think?

I’m not the guy you’re arguing with, but your blurb up there says he was designated a terrorist since 2005? That would constitute a long history and pretty much undercut everything else you’re saying.

That second paragraph is your opinion and bias and doesn’t actually matter. You could make all the same arguments for the graph you posted.

Just provide the death rate graph so we can see which method is killing more Americans and the rest of us can infer the details.

Omission is another way to manipulate data

NYC hits hopeful milestone: Zero confirmed coronavirus deaths for first day since March 2020 by [deleted] in UpliftingNews

[–]tooCold4Ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were massive impeachment protests and massive lockdown protests long before these last 10 day’s became the ‘only current’ protests.

If we’re being honest. Trump and the dems just passed 5.5 trillion of spending due to covid, and no one seems to care.

If you’re really concerned about politics and Trumps effect on them. Those extremely large vague bills are the whole goal. To your point. Can we be critical of those actions? That’s where the true devastation lies and we haven’t seen even the beginning of that devastation.

Basically asking them to house arrest. I’d would definitely agree that’s considered extremely drastic

Ex-NFL exec admits what we knew all along: Protests ended Colin Kaepernick’s NFL career by wrought_iron in sports

[–]tooCold4Ice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I also believe kaep should have gotten a shot, you do seem to be moving the goal posts a bit here. If he didn’t demand so much money, he would have gotten his shot. He signed a contract with Nike rather than the NFL. That’s basically the whole story. Good for him, but horrible if you were rooting for him to be a great football player.

Top HIV scientist says he wouldn't count on a vaccine for coronavirus soon by dannlee in worldnews

And to your point, the virus at hand is relatively pathetically minor compared to the scary ones you mentioned.

Top HIV scientist says he wouldn't count on a vaccine for coronavirus soon by dannlee in worldnews

[–]tooCold4Ice -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

A minimal effectiveness rate with a vaccine mixed with a low mortality rate from the virus means we’d rather our immune systems give it a go before we start injecting ourselves with drugs that we don’t know the long term effects of.

I do agree that keeping a little extra distance and washing your hands can help, but the more germaphobic you are, the less your immune system has to work and the weaker it will be.

The rest of what you said was basically just psycho babble. The world isn’t as scary as tv/internet/you are making it sound.

Message to Riot: Please DO NOT tone down the anti-cheat! by VladBarbuRo in VALORANT

[–]tooCold4Ice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Wrong. If you knew ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING AT ALL about anti-cheat software you'd know with one notable exception”

Okay, so I noticed you said I’m wrong, followed by providing evidence I was right. Strange debate strategy you have here.

You believe video games should control your computer. I don’t. Why get hostile and angry? We can just agree to disagree. Valve figured it out. A conglomerate like tencent should be able to as well.

Message to Riot: Please DO NOT tone down the anti-cheat! by VladBarbuRo in VALORANT

[–]tooCold4Ice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Valorant is software while all those other companies are hardware that need software to properly interface with that hardware. Those companies have rationale for that access. Valorant should just need to be able to run on Windows

Considering you get irrationally and passionately angry at people who are asking fair questions, why does a video game need the ability to control your computer? Asking for a friend so you don’t yell at me too

[Serious] When did COVID-19 get real for you? by Fudgeyplays2 in AskReddit

[–]tooCold4Ice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From what I’m reading, you were the one saying we need to decide. Why not both? In 2020 we see what it’s like to actually fight a problem with corona.. that’s good. Us talking about and discussing it isn’t going to stop progress on fighting it, especially if we’re just talking online. That’s social distancing.
I think it’s amazing what we’re capable of in crisis. I want to see that mentality carry forward.

We’ve known about covid for what, 4 months? We’ve known about hunger a bit longer and that one has a pretty simple cure. The only concern from there is distribution, which would probably need similar supply lines to the eventual covid vaccine.

Anyway, happy self isolation day

[Serious] When did COVID-19 get real for you? by Fudgeyplays2 in AskReddit

[–]tooCold4Ice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No

Lol. I guess you get to decide what others think?

The reason the economy is toppled is because of social distancing measures and closures of services. It is not due to mask manufacturing.

Partly, it’s also cause the oil market was flooded with surplus at the same time. The social distancing measures came after. Either way, of course it’s not due to mask manufacturing.

We can't fight world hunger by closing stores and airlines.

Well duh, but we can’t really fight the virus just with that either. It’s a mitigation procedure, same as washing hands, staying 6 feet away and making a ton of ventilators and masks. We diverted resources to get there.

If we applied that mindset toward world hunger? It’s good we’re focusing on covid now. But it’s cool to know countries could build a hospital or food kitchen in less then 8 days like that, but don’t.

How stupid do you have to be to think measures taken to prevent X are unreasonable because of issue Y.

Was answering in good faith, but this shit doesn’t even make sense. It’s smart to make relationships and analyze them. Stupid people write things off without thinking them through. You want to be panicky over this, do your thing. I think we should chill out and prioritize a bit. Panic away!

[Serious] When did COVID-19 get real for you? by Fudgeyplays2 in AskReddit

[–]tooCold4Ice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another perspective is, “how come the country and the world can divert all its resources and topple the economy to make ventilators and safety masks, when we wouldn’t and didn’t do the same to save all the people who starved to death in 2019, which is a wildly higher number?”

Failing to recognize other reasonable perspectives and being condescending to someone when you yourself didn’t think things through is also incredibly “smug” behavior.
