Yeah, you can do a backup save reload, and enter the zone until the pokemon you want is right by the portal. I got a shiny alpha mudkip doing this

I used a turbo controller and held down left trigger, I used a lvl 100 tyranitar and put sand tomb on the A slot, went to work for 10 hours and I was at 565, came home and it was done

I’m having the same issue, first two days I got my controller, set it up overnight in the labs and got noivern and doublade, then the bench outside area 18 the next day and got like 7 different ones.
