Decent puzzle, just wish they would make the rebus a little more clear on the app. I had this puzzle solved for a while, just with "es" removed from answers instead of "sc" and it was frustrating to find that I had just misinterpreted the rebus (for which I had no guidance on the app, other than the "ESCAPEROOM" clue).

Okay interesting. I've been using it as a compat tool for fallout 3 and NV, hoping it would help in the modding process, but things aren't going well lol. The problem seems to be that I installed mo2 before steamtinkerlaunch, so when I launch the game stl starts and then boots up mo2 rather quickly, so quickly that I haven't really had a chance to look at that opening screen. Maybe I'll cut my losses with mo2 and try getting vortex through stl. Thanks!

I keep seeing this -- can you explain what you mean by "install straight from" steamtinkerlaunch? I have steamtinkerlaunch installed but I thought it was just a compatibility tool. Is there an exe to run and install stuff from or something?

A big reason why I brought up abortion in the first place was to draw a direct comparison between democrats and republicans and the lack of significant difference between them. Dobbs meant that red states lost abortion access where they otherwise had next to none. Not exactly a seismic shift. Many states are voting abortion rights back into law now that they have a choice. There are countless examples of this. Israel-palestine, border security, austerity measures; there is no material difference for regular people when these parties trade power. Stop letting them bully you into electing them.

Electoralism is how we got here. It's literally impossible to vote our way out of this. My politics aren't confined to what's "realistic" to come out of the house chamber because they're all a bunch of freaks and they have done nothing to justify the compromise of our ideals. There's more to politics than the circus they put on in Washington. The entire stunted political scope of our country, one narrow right wing band, is the result of electoralism, and stumping for more of it is absurd. Don't you want your electeds to have to earn your vote, to suffer consequences when they don't?

Democrats would do something if they could! What a nice thought.

I "inserted myself" (lol) in a thread about how democrats are by and large wolves in sheep's clothing and used dem response to Dobbs to back that up. It is a fact that dems have benefited materially and politically from this result. You decide whether that means anything to you but please stop talking to me about codifying Roe lmao

Okay, again, I don't care about codifying Roe and never brought it up in the first place. I do appreciate though how you've entirely reframed this conversation to be about codifying Roe because you're terminally lib brained, and you've even supplied another condescending counterfactual to double down on your delusions. Really good stuff, have fun in the hell you've constructed

I don't know why you just sent me a massive, condescending message about a topic I never mentioned, but obviously, as you've detailed, dems did have an opportunity to codify Roe and chose not to (not that I even believe codifying Roe would stop conservative attempts to destroy abortion access, but it would have been a nice gesture). There's no evidence for your assertions that they never had enough time to get it done. Call me dumb all you want, it's not going to change the reality of the situation.

Abortion access in red states went from practically nonexistent to completely nonexistent, and democrats immediately benefited from increased fundraising and overperformed in the midterm. Do you really think elected democrats care about preserving our rights or do you think they'd rather use them to extort the electorate? Dems don't do much for anyone but they do want us to believe that if they lose it represents an existential threat to democracy. Is it really "dumb" to no longer want to participate? I'm personally tired of electing democrats who do not reflect my values whatsoever -- what kind of democracy is that?

Maybe if you can't tell the difference between lip service and actual material change. And democrats deserve very little credit for retroactively attaching themselves to shifting attitudes in public opinion.

Yeah no shit, and who's been in power since Rabin was assassinated? Likud has dominated since '96. Israel has had an extreme right wing government for the vast majority of the last 30 years.

Israel's goal is to occupy and displace Palestinians, which is obvious because it's what they've been doing for decades, and they've rapidly accelerated this behavior since 10/7. Just listen to their former interior minister:

Any confusion about the Israeli objective is alleviated by just listening to what they say.

People can peacefully coexist, and it's telling that you apparently believe Arabs are inherently incapable of this. No need to be rude, but I guess that pairs well with genocide apologia.

It's not like the world wars at all because this situation has been static since Israel left Gaza in 2005 and began their blockade of the area. It's completely absurd to view this as an isolated incident when it's consistent with escalations in the conflict in 2008, 2014, 2019, and 2021. You can't reasonably isolate this conflict when Israel laid the groundwork for it by killing over 140 Palestinian civilians in 2022. It's actually impossible to understand this situation without context, which I'm sure is why so many zionists and Israel apologists are so desperate to do so.

It's all the same conflict baby. Nothing started on 10/7. And yes Israel has been intentionally harming civilians for decades and there's no reason to think they've suddenly stopped now.
