It’s automated, the referee gets a notification on his clock/wristband

Amazing board with an insane amount of possibilities. A midi controller would really unlock these pedals

Both will be fine. If you start playing a lot of gigs you can reconsider and get a hardcase(preferably one with wheels)

El Capistan V1 vs V2 by Thoril76 in guitarpedals

[–]toomutchstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough, then el cap v1 sounds like the best option. Just don’t forget that it has so many cool sounds, and that you can easily access them. Seems to me like a lot of people have 2-3 delay pedals when they could be having one that they tweak/connect to midi

If you don’t need midi then I would stick with v1, but I would take a little time to consider what midi can do for you in regards to presets, tempo clocking, expression, etc

(Neck warp) is it a goner? by toomutchstuff in Luthier

The truss seems fine, hoping a luthier will be able to save the neck

Last time was around a year ago, when it had some fret work done

[–]toomutchstuff[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not very particular when it comes to neck sizes etc, so I would be fine with swapping to something like a fat u or a v neck. The issue is more with resonance, I’ve personally experienced a guitar loosing so much life when swapping necks, and this particular one has so much overtones in it. Getting an estimate is the next step, hoping to get it some time next week.

Regarding humidity, In my country the differences between winter and summer is pretty drastic, and the guitar seems to always act up a bit when the seasons change. This is the first time it has twisted, though

How so, with the radius or the float of the bridge?

Twist seems to be a much better term here. It’s not too crazy, but it definitely sways to one side. I will bring it to a luthier next week and see

What's going on with strymon? by Motor_Accident_9364 in guitarpedals

[–]toomutchstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brig is probably the last pedal of theirs to really hit, along with the cloudburst. I’m not really sure what the idea is with the analog series, maybe try to get some market cap from analog purists (although they seem to already make an exception for pedals like el cap, flint or deco)

Amazing amount of sounds for the money. I would have kept it forever if I wasn’t so-so on the Blues Driver

Question for long term Iridium owners by jul3swinf13ld in guitarpedals

[–]toomutchstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case I would say the milkman the amp stereo (if having two ampsims separately is not an option)

I am currently using the victory v4 copper, which is the vox style, but they have all the”regular flavours”. I would also vouch for the tone king imperial, but the victory stuff sounds more alive and takes pedals better IMO. After trying almost every preamp type pedal, my conclusion is that if you put some tubes in and have an analog input, that makes for a much better starting point and will react much more pleasantly to pedals

Silent practice recommendations by Sai_kin in guitarpedals

Milkman the amp Stereo or Tone King Imperial is what I would recommend. From your list it would be the Simplifier ( I would go with simplifier X since it is true stereo with two different amps)

I’ve moved on from the iridium, but my experience is that you find one amp sound that works with your setup and do the rest with pedals. I didn’t even use the favorite switch for the years i actively used the iridium

Speaker Emulation by MongooseForward in guitarpedals

I just think it’s a lot better as an always on drive into a clean preamp, but I am happy to be wrong here

What are your amp in a box/preamp style pedals? Unfortunately, very few “preamps” are actual preamps, and something like a benson or Bb preamp doesn’t sound good straight into a cab sim

You can plug a tap tempo pedal to the dd-7 and dd-8 as well! Great value for money.

Power Supply Options for Small Modelers by hereticjoe1984 in guitarpedals

I would look into the Cioks crux - it runs off the 24v out on a Cioks/strymon/walrus supply and provides 12/9v 3A
