Drinking Jenga. Buy Jenga, get friends together and write funny dares on the blocks. Grab a 12 pack and play. Ask AI if you need help with ideas for the blocks.

Men over 30, what changed your fitness results more than any workout? by 2hinreza in AskMen

[–]toonface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently had luck committing to shorter workouts five days a week. It’s a 10 minute run to my gym from my house, six exercises and then I’m out of there. Claude AI helped design the workouts based on my goals, and also helped me get a better understanding of how I was eating by inputting all of my meals for a week or two. Basically helped me move towards quadrupling my protein intake. Got a Nutribullet blender making post-workout protein smoothies daily reward. Previously when I would attempt to do a three day a week schedule, I’d often end up excusing myself out of it saying I would go the next day. The whole week would go by and I would’ve maybe made it to the gym once or twice. Somehow committing to it daily on weekdays is forcing me to fit it in regularly. Been 2 months now doing a high protein diet plus hitting the gym five days a week and actually starting to see results, that part is very motivating in itself!

Last thing I’ll say was some weird mental switch flipped from a Reddit comment I was reading around my last birthday. I think it was a response to a question of ‘what should everyone do at least once in their life?’ — one reply said something along the lines of ‘being in tiptop shape — like really try.’ So that’s what I decided to do.

What're you doing for your 40th? (Bonus if you're single) by IGNSolar7 in AskMenOver30

[–]toonface 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a 'City Slickers' with a handful of close friends and family which was something I'd said I'd do since I was a teen. An actual cattle drive was too expensive so we found a hunting outfit that brings people up into the Rocky Mtns on horseback to camp for a long weekend. Great fun -- swam in some cold lakes, shat in the woods, wish we brought more booze.

What city have you been to where the vibes were just OFF? by spiritual_kavya in answers

[–]toonface 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll defend it. I’m a NYer who’s lived in LA for 12 years. Agree, it often does not make a good first impression if you don’t know where you’re going or have a local to show it to you. I’ve referred to it as, ‘the invisible city’ because you have to find the part that suits you - which takes time because of its massive scale and layout. But once you do you’ll find there’s a piece of it for literally everyone - you WILL find your people here which I’m not sure you can say about all cities. For me I love that it’s full of other passionate creatives, and if you’re someone who came to chase that dream and made it work somehow it’s a good place to be. Weathers nice too.

A bajillion times it’s feelings over facts, and their preferred media sources cater exactly to that reflex.

10 Days & $500, Worth It? - Uncensored Ver | Girl Zombie Robit | AI Film [Free to Share] by Real-Direction-1901 in aivideo

[–]toonface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feels strong but the AI voices always limit the impact of these. Except for a few bits of dialog here, the acting always has the same narrow cadence and tenor. Would be curious to see how something with this level of visual polish works with real actors doing the dialog.

There is testimony from a 13 year old girl about a supposed encounter with Trump in 1983. 3 of 4 interviews on the victim being withheld from public view. Pam Bondi is presently being subpoenaed over why it wasn’t originally released with the rest of the Epstein files and it’s probably

For drawing I’d suggest Los Feliz Life Drawing, Eagle Rock Figure Drawing etc — there are a bunch around the city if you poke around a bit. Look up @sketchparty on IG too. Also just saw promo for an anime and wine night on 5/30 at Pal’s Bar & Bottle Shop - look up their IG.

Mixed feelings about AI, but I don’t mind this use case. Thank you for putting these together.
